Watersooi was great, though I wasn't expecting end entire baby chicken to be served up. Excellent meal all the same. Attentive staff, polite and courteous. Definitely eat here again. €60 for two courses and a large bottle of beer.

Quaint restaurant tucked up a side street. The food isn't cheap however the portion sizes are huge. Beware or an additional cost if you chose a starter as a main. Food was excellent very traditional and the hand made fries are a speciality of the restaurant.

Nicely located down a side street off a shopping street a few minutes away from the main square. The staff are polite, the bistro itself is nice and welcoming; for me the charm stopped there. The portions are very large, but with the starters you get salad garnish as big as a main course (not sure how authentic a combination... More

Avoid at all costs if you wish to be treated with any hint of respect. Extremely rude and condescending staff. The restaurant was virtually empty but we were thrown out because one of us did not want to eat a main dish. In the table next to us, a man was only eating a starter and a woman was not... More

We passed this restaurant just north of the square, tucked down a lane way and copied down the phone #, as we had been told by locals to try it if we could. Great portions and great flemish food! If you're interested, the owner also has little cookbooks for sale with the local recipes that are used and might autograph... More

My family and I are in Bruges for the week and we wanted to save the best until last. I also went to the Vlaamsche Pot in 2007 and the beef stew (Flemish Carbonade) was simply sublime. Yesterday evening was as another reviewer from Reading noted. The meat, although tender, was very fatty and I just left half of the... More

So glad we discovered. This little gem tucked away in Brugge .. Just off the beaten track but well worth finding .. What a lovely place to eat. Absolutely wonderful Food, served pipping hot by friendly staff.. Beware of huge portion sizes.. And surely the BEST fries in the city .. Yummy

I was recommended this restaurant and I cannot find one good reason why. The food was dire and the service similar, to the point of almost being comedic (think Fawlty Towers). We were offered a poor table and told the others were reserved, but they remained empty the whole time I was there. The meat is slow cooked and should... More

This restaurant serves authentic Flemish food and it is as tasty as anything. Off the beaten track in a quiet road. Lovely decor. Prompt service. Your table bread is served in a paper bag. The portions are big so don't order starters unless you are really hungry. I had the Flemish beef stew. Slow cooked and the meat just falls... More
