Worst meals my wife and I have ever had in a restaurant and we have dined in a lot. My wife's steak was inedible as it was far too chewy - we should have been on the alert when a steak knife was not offered. I had what allegedly was blanquette de veau but which turned out to be small... More

I have been going to Belgium for over 35 years and have very rarely had a poor meal and so we were really looking forward to eating here but ended up being very disappointed. The restaurant was half empty which didn't help. Service was perfectly friendly and efficient. Food was very poor for the price paid: The game terrine looked... More

Visited on a freezing cold Christmas Market Sunday. We had a warm welcome and were quickly shown to our table and a drinks order taken. The restaurant has various set price menus a la carte etc. We wanted Moules Frittes and that's what we ordered, they were delicious, big portion sizes nice chips ....very Belgium. We did not want a... More

Expensive for the quality of the food. The service was rather indifferent. The coq au vin was dry but the blanquette de veau was nice. The croquettes were really bland. I was expecting so much more.

Belgian comfort food and kind local people serving it. Also loved the very random selection of music played by the pianist. Set a very whimsical tone. Their 35 Euro menu is a good find for the old town location (we had the megrim and the steak), while the pork cheek casserole off the à la carte was the sort that... More

Food: starters were awesome - beautiful and delicious. Mussels were fresh, and the pork stew was also great. The surprise "anniversary" dessert, which was a piece of cheese cake decorated with cranberries and cranberry sauce (in a heart shape!), was also excellent. Service: perfect. Quick and attentive, not to mention that anniversary surprise! Needless to say more. Highly recommended!

Excellent food that is very well prepared. The service was great and responded to needs quickly. The beer on tap was great too. We recommend the stew cooked with beer and cherries.

We were really lucky that we happened to be staying close by so had noticed the restaurant on our way back to the hotel. We popped in on spec at around 7.00pm on Saturday evening and we were really fortunate to get a table - peopkle after us were being turned away. I can see why it's fully booked, it... More
