We were in Bruges for 3 nights and had good food in all 3 restaurants. But this was fractionally the cheapest and easily the best. Friendly service and great food.

The service is wonderful here and the cooking is first rate. It's just far enough away from the market square and castle to be unfrequented by a lot of tourist. One hears more Dutch spoken than English or German. The food is drawn from traditional Belgian favorites. Although beef seemed to be popular we stayed with fish dishes. A most... More

This establishment was a short walk from our hotel in our last night in Brugge. We arrived without reservation and were seated right away. My husband order the fish soup, which I would highly recommend, I order the garlic shrimp which I would not recommend. We shared a fish dish, which was a bit punning to share, three small fish... Its all very good value for Bruges - which is on the expensive side. We have the fixed menu that gave you choices for each course. Apertif drink, bottle of wine and four courses for 54 euros each. If you know Bruges - this is very good value! The food was cooked to perfection and the waiters the perfect amount... More

We chose this restaurant for our last night in Bruges after we got lost and wandered past on our way back to our hotel. The restaurant is off the main tourist trails and is a lovely quiet, old house. There is a choice of menus from 3 set menus or the al la carte. We went for al la carte... More

I had a sirloin steak here, which was tasteless...not that I have ever eaten cardboard, but that is what I think it might have tasted like. Also, that great Belgian speciality which came with it, frites, were of the oven variety....tasteless. My partner's rump steak was fairly decent.

Located somewhat out of the tourist crowded main streets in a nicely restored ancient house. No rush, take your time, the food is prepared with love and served as it should be. I noticed that also local people come there for a meal with family or friends.

Visited this cosy restaurant on our last night in Bruges, tucked away from the main tourist areas it had a relaxed and homely atmosphere. The friendly waiter was quick to explain how all the fries were cooked separately and therefore were gluten free (very exciting and a rare treat for a Coeliac) and the béarnaise sauce was also safe. We... More
