Very authentic restaurant in the heart of Bruges. Nothing to do with the many touristic restaurant around. Genuine, well cooked food accompanied by good beer, very friendly personnel and intimate atmosphere. I felt home. Thanks.

We wandered past the restaurant whilst exploring the city and decided to make a reservation for dinner the same evening. The whole experience was amazing- from the friendly and helpful staff to the tasty food and cosy atmosphere. Genuinely the highlight of our trip! Would...definitely recommend others to visit Malesherbes!More
Quite small and beautiful little restaurant, so happy we came here, food was the best we've had in bruges, highly recommended, I had duck and my partner had fish both were perfect 👌 if you visit bruges you must try this amazing little place, the...staff/owners couldn't do enough for us, booking in advance recommended as they only have seating for 15 to 20 peopleMore
What a lovely little restaurant. It’s one of those perfect places you stumble upon (or not if you find it based on reviews here!) that offers a small but excellent menu. The food was exquisite and the service personal and friendly. It was so relaxing,...with great wine and melt-in-the-mouth steak. Spot on.More
I found the place by coincidence. It is located in a small street. They offer French food in a little charming place. The food was very delicious and the service also. Totally recommend the place!
Malesherbes was on our list of places to eat when we visited Bruges. We arrived a few minutes after it opened in the evening and were lucky enough to find a table free. The restaurant is small and cosy and we received a very warm...welcome. We chose from the set menu, it was great. The food was tasty and well presented. Very well worth finding down the tiny alley way off KatelijnestraatMore
You always have to search for hidden treasure and this little treasure is worth looking for. A very warm welcome and attentive but not overbearing service. The food is superb, we had the fish soup followed by the duck cassoulet, both were of the highest...standards. My wife said that the tarte tatin was one of the best she has ever had.I can also recommend the house red wine.More
We've eaten here in the past and we were looking forward to a repeat visit. We were not disappointed. This tiny place is hidden in a small passage so you must pay attention to your map as you search for it. Do make reservations as...they can fill up quickly. On this visit i started with an appetizer of three terrines - Duck, Boar and Pheasant - accompanied by a lovely glass of champagne - Wow! My wife had a splendid warm phyllo wrapped camembert with apples and spinach that was equally grand. We know how well comfort food is prepared here so we both had the cassoulet with a duck leg and sausage for our main course - it was juicy and thick and delicious they way this dish is when it is properly prepared. We had several glasses of wine along the way and split a desert of a perfectly prepared Tarte Tatin with some vanilla ice cream. It was absolute heaven with casual but friendly service that made us feel very much at home. Thank you so much ladies for such a wonderful evening. We will be back soon.More
A delicious meal in a surprising small space in a pedestrian lane near the Beguinage. The fresh fish of the day was exquisitely prepared. Great place for brunch, too.
We discovered this little restaurant walking around the village, in a narrow street of old town. I ate a cassoulet (good) and my wife choosed a lamb (it was perfect). Very good food.
Chef has been there 33 years, 20 years as a owner. Her passion for food shows. Everything was wonderfully prepared. One of the specials was confit of gizzards with foie gras and smoked duck breast over a bed of lettuce. The lamb special also was...excellent. All of our party really enjoyed their food. The chocolate tart was superb. Service was excellent. Would definitely return.More
Great food in a lovely little restaurant off the beaten track! So much better than the ‘rip off’ restaurants in the main tourist areas!
Malesherbes is a hidden gem in Bruges. We were warmly welcomed into the restaurant; the staff are genuine and lovely. The food is homely, delicious and authentic. It is slightly off the beaten track but that adds to its charm and it’s definitely worth looking...for!More
We were greeted warmly and we're lucky to get a table. This small restaurant is normally booked up as has few tables when I ve walked past in of an evening in busier seasons. There's a select small menu but the cooking is very good....The fish and yoghurt ice cream were delicious. Just the latter is worth going for so memorable indeed. Rose wine of good quality.More
