The owner exudes warmth and hospitality. The Jhalfrezi and Talks Masala are absolute delights, and for spice enthusiasts, the Cinnamon and Madras hit the spot. The naans are impeccably soft and flavorful. The complimentary desserts add a sweet touch. Ordering online for takeaway is rewarded with a generous 15% discount. With convenient parking just a stone's throw away from the city centre , this establishment is culinary destination offering just delicious cuisine but also exceptional service.

Great food

I came into the restaurant on a whim, wanting something new to eat. The waiter was very helpful in making my choice on what to eat, helping me decide on the chicken tika-masala with rice and naan bread. It was delicious and it only cost 20 euros. The food came very quickly but despite that it was very well made and steaming hot. Would highly recommend the place.

Best Indian Food

For as long as I remember, this is the best Indian restaurant in and around Leuven. Also with previous owners (I speak of the 1990ies) we have always been regular visitors. Very friendly service, nice quality and quantity of food! Prices are also family friendly. Take out gives a nice discount! My 7yo kid asks for Chicken Tikka Masala almost every week, and of all the restaurants we tried, this is still the best. So, we're regulars for at least the last 4 years. Vindaloo is really spicy and really good. Curry Madras is my favourite, spicy but not too hot. We also enjoy the different naan breads. When we have friends over, this is the one we order from!

This spot was astonishing strongly suggested! I don't typically compose surveys for eateries, yet I needed to for this one. Each and every thing we requested was so great down to the blend baked and roti! We got the samosa which was astounding They were all proposals by the very kind server. The help was extraordinary, and the spot is really adorable! Not an in vogue vibe but rather all the more a genial and comfortable one.

We were welcomed by Roshan and his father and they where both amazing people, funny and entertaining. Such sweet customer service! Great great great food! We ordered chicken korma and kadai lamb, naan and raita which we would all recommend. Best indian food in leuven! We’re looking forward to visit you again. Astrid & Anne-Sophie

Very tasty food, very friendly servicy & and a lovely host! We had the chicken biryani & veggie kadai and it was amazing (and perfectly spicy, no need to ask for extra). P.s. Good place for a first date, for sure coming back (but probably alone :'(...) X

Friendly Chat with the Owner

We had a delightful chat with the owner as we tucked into his restaurant for a quick order of takeout after a day of sightseeing. He gave us helpful suggestions as to what we might like, and chatted about family and travel. We got a discount on the takeout. The food made for a delicious ending to a wonderful day in Leuven!

I was shouted at for leaving a negative review because my order never arrived

I placed an order for lunch through their website, and the food never came. I discovered that they were closed for the holidays. After three months without a refund, despite numerous calls and emails, I visited the establishment in person. Unfortunately, I was met with hostility from the manager, who shouted at me for leaving a negative review in the meantime. Initially, he insisted on a refund only if I cancelled the review. Another customer intervened, prompting him to relent and issue the refund. But after this terrible experience, I won't order anything from them again. It's a shame because the food was quite good. You better check twice whether they are open if you order online.

A great place to eat tasty food!!!! Being with a big group of friends and having tried different dishes, everything was great and was finished until the last bite! Portions are great as well :) Service always makes you feel comfortable and taken care of!!! Recommend 100%

Good food, good mood.

My wife and I stopped in and ordered Butter Chicken with Garlic Naan. Within minutes we were devouring the delicious burst of flavors before us. The service and staff were extremely friendly and attentive. We are looking forward to our next visit to try more delicious foods!

Great food , fabulous service. We loved the spicy chicken and the Tandoor chicken . Went well with the Indian wine After some renovations the restaurant just opened again today. It was worth the long wait!

Always a cosy place to eat lunch or dinner. I have visited multiple times by now, with colleagues, friends and dates. They are always very hospitable, funny and social. The food is amazing, very tasty and lots of vegitarian options. I recommend this place !

Delicious food, friendly staff, and a cozy atmosphere. The Butter Chicken and Garlic Naan are must-tries. Highly recommend New Holy Cow for an authentic Indian dining experience!

Soup….

We ordered tomato soup, it was greasy and tasted like curry. We are very disappointed and now I have a stomach ache. We ordered online did not receive any spoons nor was there an option to get them. Very sad :/
