Small, cosy restaurant in the centre, but not in a touristic street. It is not bad, but for that price I have eaten better. Not bad, but not wow.

Is the best way to describe last weekend's dining experience at this cosy restaurant. We had dinner with a group of seven guests and the entire experience was a let-down from start to finish; I had the frog legs as an appetizer and they were breaded, dried out and lacking seasoning. The main course was veal filet which was tough... More

Nice cozy ambience, small, goat cheese starter was best ever! Stew was ok but not waw. Chose Spanish wine which was not from an official wine region but was ok. Dessert of chocolate and coffee is just to die for. These 2 cooks just deserve it!

I have to say the food here was class. From the Gazpacho to the cheese board nothing let it down. We were there with a big group and there was an option for 3,4 or 5 course. Just be careful as if some of the group choose different course options the service can be very slow. Still the quality was... More

Excellent discovery in Leuven. Really surprising new cuisine with exceptional quality: risotto with calamar /squids and excellent pigeon breastfeeding. Nice wines below 35 €, ie, primitivo, priorat, vouvraY.

Fine cuisine, friendly service, and a great ambiance. The lunch menu is both affordable and truly excellent. Well worth the detour from the more crowded spots popular with students and tourists. Highly recommended!

Had dinner for two here. The reception was warm and welcoming, the service was professional (with a visit by the chef at our table). We took the 3-course menu with Tuna and Seafood Linguine as starters, accompanied with a Galician white wine that was perfect. My seafood Linguine was perfect, with shellfish like I've seen many times on the beach... More

We had a very good lunch there today. The portions are medium size, but ideal portions for a lunch. We had lunch for 2. Starter was a salmon tartare with some fresh asparagus sprouts, a lemon flavored pesto and blueberries. Very original and tasty combination. The main dish was a pork roast with a nice gravy and mashed potatoes with... More

Our son is studying in Leuven and wants to remain in Leuven during the exam period. So the most efficient and least time-consuming way for keeping in touch on a regular basis is to have dinner say once weekly in Leuven. We have been testing several restaurants and have been disappointed nearly every time. So we are happy to have... More

Le Chameau is not your typical Leuven restaurant. It's a bit more expensive and the choice of food is limited to about 6 starters and 6 main courses. However, the quality of the food, the atmosphere in the restaurant, the open kitchen and the very nice service make this restaurant one of the better ones in Leuven. I can definitely... More
