We have heard about this pancake house, very famous, authentic and known for its traditional pancakes. When we decided to go inside, it looked well filled up. That is always a good sign. Style of this restaurant is old fashioned but it works. I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. Prices were reasonable. They have a wide selection and... More

This place has been in business for over 50 years. It serves sweet and savory crepes. The one I had (the house specialty "panache" with ham, cheese, and an egg sunny side up) was a full and tasty meal. After I was done, my plate glistened with butter residue, as is intended in this old school eatery. Several of the... More

Me and my girlfriend visited this nice cafe in Ghent city center and enjoyed two delicious pancackes. What a way to start the day. We'll go back someday and try also the salty pancackes!

This pancake house is an institution in Ghent run by the same family over several generations. The cafe is rustic, old style and again with wooden tables and chairs. Don't let its austere interiors put you off. There is an exhaustive variety of pancakes, served just how the Belgians eat theirs. Try their pancake with butter and brown sugar. The... More

If you've never had Breton pancakes you haven't lived. Gwenola serves these delicious thin (but large) pancakes in all sorts of sweet and savory combinations. As simple as brown sugar and butter. (Butter is a must), And as extravagent as ham/cheese/spinach with a friend egg on top. Definitely have a savory and then split a sweet with your friend. The... More

Serving only pancakes with different fillings the GWENOLA PANNEKOEKENHUIS is a great place to discover regional food and tastes. Also when traveling with kids it is a highly recommendable option since everybody in the family will most likely find a dish to his taste. The restaurant seems to operated by a family who, together with some staff, serve pancakes as... More

First - we talk about Breton pancakes - not German, not Dutch, not American! Those tasty very thin pancakes filled either sweet or savory in buckwheat pancake. We found this place by accident. The menu is available in several languages. I very friendly waitress served us. Ordering went smooth and after a short waiting time those amazing pancakes were served... More

Fantastic place with every conceivable type of pancake you could want. Some of them are massively filling and the lady that runs the place is a gem. Can't wait to go back.
