we decided to have a quick waffle where we ordered one with strawberries and whipped cream; i guess jt was a mistake since the waffle came too crispy and it was good to the whipped creme was there to make it softer; the down part of the experience is that they charged is for extra €1.2 for the extra cutlery,... Brasserie Agrea in Gent was worth the detour off the main road on our way from Amsterdam to Paris. We just had to have Belgian waffles in Belgium. We had waffle with strawberries, waffle with ice cream and chocolate sauce and waffle with cherries and a toast. To drink we had three Cokes and a double espresso. With a tip... More

My husband and I had did not look up any reviews before visiting this place and we were very happy with what we came across. The wait staff spoke English and we were able to easily order a waffle and hot chocolate. They were both delicious!

4pm in the afternoon, the place was not busy. 4 of us ordered 3 beers, one cup of tea and two waffles. We then asked for a glass of water and the grumpy waiter refused. This is not only rude and unhelpful, but illegal in most countries. We have travelled all over the world and eaten in many different establishments,... More

We ate here because we were so hungry and it was so close to the belfry. The sandwich isn't anything to get excited about, but my mother did enjoy the home made broccoli soup. The best part of my meal was the waffles with tart cherries and the hot chocolate! Delicious for those, but don't bother eating lunch itself here... More

Had breakfast here on a sunday. The place is clearly popular for sunday champagne breakfasts - all the tables were reserved. Whoever thinks of reserving a table for breakfast? Anyway, the food was good as well as the service

We had a bongo breakfast with bubbles. The breakfast was ok. lot's of bread, with some cheese and ham, tiny bit of fruit and some jams. I would have liked an egg. Shame for the chocolate milk which was chocolate water as in many establishments.

Myself, my wife and in-laws stopped in here for lunch after a recommendation by our tour guide whilst visiting Ghent for the day. This Brasserie does not disappoint in the slightest. Such a great selection of waffles to choose from along with a lunch menu but we were here for the Waffles !! We were not disappointed in the slightest.... More
