We had a lovely evening: exquisite dinner, welcoming atmosphere, excellent service! Our international group was very enthousiastic about it!

Arrived relatively early 7pm so quite empty (one other couple). Food Ok. As with many places starters good, main so so. Plaice underseasoned .First steak returned as tough but second fine. Extra wine on bill but removed. Overall a so so experience that seemed overpriced.

Thank you for coming to La Provence. We are glad to hear that the food was fine. Shame about the steak but you asked for an "medium rare ".... The second was better because you asked rare ... maybe ask the next time "rare" there you probably swapped the two cooking methods... More

We arrived to a mostly empty restaurant, but it did fill up somewhat afterwards. Not that that was a problem, because the outside dining area is delectable. A couple of G&Ts later, we got our mains, which were both lovely, and included a lot of asparagus (seasonal veg), which some restaurants would charge extra for. We then polished off a... More

We had a reservation but when we arrived, that was ridiculous, because the restaurant was empy! Afterwards one more couple has arrived and that was it. In the beginning the waiter was quite friendly, but after the main dish we didn't found anybody to serve us. After waiting about 20 minutes, we just ordered something more to drink for which... This is the most ridiculous review I've ever read. A restaurant can sometimes have less people...So? We guarantee quality on our plates as well as professional service. The title made me already suspect that nothing could be good from the moment you walked.Unfortunately some people waste their time writing such reviews. The manager/ Chef More

La Provence is situated on walking distance of the city hall. The decoration is modern, in a classic building. It has a very enjoyable atmosphere. The food was very good, from the simple shrimp croquettes to the specialties like haddoc filet with vegetable lasagne, the latter was a real surprise (in a positive way). You simply must visit this restaurant... More

The restaurant is in a lovely old building attached to the hotel Parkhotel. Excellent service and good food but we found it expensive, although Gent seems to be an expensive place.

In my opinion one of the best all-round restaurants in Ghent. The no-nonsense approach of the chef in both his attitude as his creatures is certainly a plus. Also always a warm welcome by the staff, especially Sang-Yo. No doubt, this is a restaurant worth visiting.

Very nice old building with high ceilings and parquet floor. The waitor sang-yo is always in for some fun. The presentation on your plate is beautiful and the food has always been delicious, every time we went. Honest food. Very good value for your money. The lunch menu is great. Worth the detour from the historic center or for locals... More

If you're a tourist in Ghent and you stay within the tourist areas, you're probably never going to visit this restaurant. It's at the "Saint-Anna" roundabout and as such it's an easy ten to fifteen minute walk from the city center proper. However, it's location shouldn't keep you from visiting if you get the chance. We were here with a... More
