That's the question. Strange place. If you like some adventure. International (fusion, creole) cuisine. Pseudo-cozy, dirty place where students should feel home, but it probably is too expensive for them. Non-existing, rude service. Dangerous staircase. The second floor should never have been approved by the fire department. It is a mouse trap. On the other hand, the place puts you... More

...and I just do not know why. Whoever I am to meet in Ghent, they choose this place. I have never ever had a meeting elsewhere in Ghent, believe me or not. Perhaps, so many people can't be wrong. Whatever... I personally do not like this place.

We had a dinner here, made reservations but I think they would make the effort to find space if we didn't. Food was delicious as always, their gingerbeer is delicious. Had the banana for starters, and vegetarian pom. Whole experience was lovely. Do recommend.

From the start of this experience you get the feeling that they want to take your money and see the back of you. Food is above average quality, but the place needs more heart or passion to earn better review. Service is OK, just enough to get by, but waiter seems to have gone through special training to refuse any... More

I was quite surprised by this Suriname style food. Very tasteful dishes with tropical influences. A lot of choice. Not expensive, even rather cheap.

They serve some signature dishes typical of creol cuisine. Everything is tasty. If with a small band of friends (4 or more) I'd really recommend the buffet-formula. This way you don't have to choose and you can taste a lot of different things. Nice Mocktails and Cocktails. Variety of Belgian beers. My girlfriend and I come here often. Good value... More

I had the scampi with garlic and lemon, served with rice. I enjoyed my meal very much but some scampi were a bit soft inside, kind of strange. I love the concept though. I also had the Caribbean style shrimp one time and those were AMAZING. For students it may be a bit expensive tho, I paid 16 euro for... More

This place is a nice centrally located café with a facility for people looking for sth to eat. Do not go there when you want to experience a fine cuisine. The kitchen serves you simple food, based on asian/african recipes. Good but no more than that!.

I tried to eat here, but after the 3rd attempt I gave up! First time I called to reserve a table, but they told me that didn't accept reservation because the kitchen was closed (even if the website gave another timetable). Second time I arrived at 21:00 (no kidding I've checked my phone while entering), and as kitchen closes at... More

You don't come here because it's quite and cosy, you come here for the cheap food. The taste is just lovely, and the foreign cuisine is always a fun idea to go to with friends. Ideal for a quick bite: even when it's budy, they serve super fast!
