I went with my family this Saturday 25/01/25 for 5:45 pm in this brasserie restaurant where I had booked before a show. Welcome more or less correct for the order, two aperitifs that are small enough for the price... Then an order of cowboy burgers, we wait a little while. The restaurant fills up more and more and we receive the dish. Big doubt about the burger because no fried onions, and the sauce looked more like ketchup. Mustard that the cowboy sauce of the said burger... We call the waiter to report it, he says that there is no mistake... the waiter, brings us a small jar of the sauce in question that has absolutely no taste of the burger... Then we notice, that each table is entitled to bread and a mouthful of soup... We had nothing... we call the waiter to report it. This one apologizes! We ask for the dessert menu for two tiramisus, and here we were treated to a commercial gesture, both tiramisus were offered... This compensates for the amburger and distraction of the appetizer and bread.... As what do not hesitate to claim if your order does not know and they will make an effort to satisfy you... if not quality hamburger meat. Very good!

Great experience in the cafeteria. Most of us decided that the meat was relatively good. The waiters give good advice on meat and wine which is a great added value. The only downside is probably the fact that it was quite noisy. I nevertheless recommend it for a little get-together with friends.

The place is cozy and well decorated, also well located. However, the restaurant has the unfortunate habit of letting in the smallest customer even when it is full, which creates a crowd of customers at the entrance and on the terrace. We were seated as a couple on a table of two. Next to us was a table of 10 people who were SCREAMING and laughing loudly throughout the evening. An eleventh person came to join their group and we couldn't even get along. We initially wanted to stay a long time and have a dessert to end the evening but ultimately we preferred to leave as soon as the dish was finished so as not to have any more to endure this permanent cacophony. Another couple around us experienced the same cacophony (while being less ready) and also had headaches, they left before us. It's also a shame for the entrance. Wagyu tartare is expensive and doesn't taste like Wagyu because it's drowned in nuts and nut oil, so you'll have to try hard on yourself to find the taste of the meat. The Wagyu Sirloin Flank was good but once again, difficult to enjoy it in such an atmosphere. We won't come back again, it's hard not to have headaches in these conditions.

The Ambiente is Nice and so are the waiter. When they realise that you dont speak french they directly change to english and its way better than Most frenchspeaking people do. I will sum the Rest up: • waiting for more than 1 h for the Food • the Steak came cold. • the burger was served hot and was very tasty • the waiter asked me what Kind of Sauce I want in such a way as it was included, in the end I Paid 3,5€ for a Sauce I just tried but didnt like.

It had been decades since I had returned to the Cafétaria, a brand that I had frequented 30-40 years ago, at the time when, young 🤗, I went out to Liège... the Carré, cinema, theater... and the evening often ended at… the Cafétaria, a nice restaurant, open very late… I found there this Tuesday noon, February 6, the same beautiful atmosphere, vintage decor, a magnificent welcome, a very varied menu of meats and burgers, and a well-designed wine list. I tasted a very tasty Irish rump steak 👍. An excellent time, for a reasonable price (even if some rare meats are offered for around €50). My little doggie 🐶 was also very well received 🤣. To be repeated without moderation.

Having already had the experience of eating in this establishment, we have never been disappointed to this day, we deplore a lack of consistency in quality: - the Liège meatballs with rabbit sauce were very dry with a mere spoonful of sauce to accompany it (far too little) - Expeditious service: reservation made at 8:30 p.m. dish served at 8:31 p.m., we did not even have time to finish our pot of olives, - The so-called “artisanal” fries certainly recooked several times.. this one gave the sensation of being the “bottom of the basket”. The restaurant claims to be a welcoming and warm place, we rather felt a lack of consideration and expeditious treatment. We question La Cafetaria in our preferred choice of restaurant.

EXCELLENT!! The staff is professional and friendly. Prices are more than affordable and plates plentiful. Offers local dishes but also pieces of meat that are very rarely found!! Coming by chance during a detour to Lieges, I strongly recommend this brewery for a dinner with friends or family.

Atmosphere was great sitting aside, but that’s probably where the positives ended. It was one thing after another. We chose the restaurant because one of us is a vegetarian and it said it had ‘vegetarian dishes’. The menu outside had two different vegetarian style burgers. The menu at the table only had one, and when it was ordered (a falafel burger) we were informed they no longer do this and instead it was a vegetarian burger. I asked if it had sweetcorn in it and it did which I can’t eat. So, and fair enough to the waiter here he said he could do cheese croquettes as a main dish with veg and fries. The food arrived without the fries for either of us. We waited a few minutes and nothing. I asked not once, not twice, but three times for the fries which arrived 15 minutes after the burgers. Pretty poor. We decided to leave when we’d finished eating our main meal and asked for the bill not once, not twice but three times and 15 minutes later as we put our coats on and stood up the bill arrived. I was charged a supplement for the main meal as the croquettes didn’t come with fries or veg, which made them more expensive than the burger! One star for the atmosphere and one star for the fries which were delicious.

Little restaurant this evening with my wife... Arriving early, we decide to treat ourselves with the tasting menu...Starters and main courses based on Wagyu...Everything is going well overall with some good and some not so good but when we get to the bill, it's there that things get tough... Problem with their device... No problem, it happens, the device gives two refusals because it loses the network... However, after several tries, I am debited (I have the withdrawal indicated on my application + a text message confirming the withdrawal, I show the two proofs, I close the application, I reopen a few later) And there, one of the servers wants me to pay again, telling me that I will be refunded. ..I obviously refuse, I specify that I am willing to leave my contact details and that in the event of a refund on my account OR non-collection on theirs, I will come back to sort it out...(for your information, this is the 2nd time this week that I went there). It's not like I don't want to pay... The waiter calls the boss on the phone who tells me: "you don't want to pay twice but I don't let someone leave without paying..." Basically, I can understand the form: 0 points... I give the phone back to the waiter while the latter tells me that the payment has finally been received...I say to myself ok, it's just awkward but I can understand that they might be afraid of not being paid.. .But should I pay twice and risk never seeing my money again? Or at the very least have to chase? "You will get the payment back...It's not paying twice that's for sure...." Until in fact we realized that the payment had gone through (and yes, I was finally right and if I had redone the transaction I would indeed have paid twice!) As we leave the establishment, the waiter follows us and apologizes then wants to pass me back to the boss who resumes his cinema more vigorously instead of simply apologizing... A technical problem happens, we can always fix things but the rudeness and lack of respect of an establishment "manager"....I will never set foot there again!! Once again, a technical problem can happen but disrespect towards the customer NO!

Deplorable service: waiter who half listens to us, who screams in our ears, who does not accept any additional requests (we just asked for more bread), who sells us wine... Which he no longer has.. . Very disorganized. General atmosphere: music too loud to hear oneself speaking properly Dishes: €18 for a salad, ok... Except when we are served an iceberg dish with 4-5 pieces of chicken on top. Burnt fries. But the linguine was very good. In summary: very disappointed compared to what we were told. We won't go back there again.

Nice place, clean, nice but overwhelmed service. I took dumplings, the sauce was a little too sweet for me, sugar/salty balance! Dessert tiramisu not great, the cookies were not soaked in coffee. Too bad! My husband had a flawless one with his shank and béarnaise sauce. Café gourmand TB. There were a lot of people. It's a proper brewery. Price of meat displayed, style side to bone, very expensive. For an aperitif each, 1/2 liter of pitcher wine, a dumpling dish and a shank with fries. Gourmet coffee and a "tiramisu". We paid more than €100.

On a day visit to Liege for the Da Vinci exhibition we went to the city center to eat. Arriving relatively late at almost 2 p.m. we were very well received and seated to eat. After a nice and classic aperitif we chose the famous Liège boulets with rabbit sauce! We waited a long time but it was definitely worth it, a real delicacy of incredible freshness! The fries on the other hand weren't great but overall we enjoyed it. We finished with a coffee which was very good. A little expensive though but the service was very friendly.

I love to wander while traveling and stopping at random restaurants based on instinct. So while wandering Liège I found myself here. I will admit I recalled hearing of it when doing previous research on the area. The staff were reasonably friendly, what I would say has been about typical for my visit to French speaking areas. Courteous but didn't go out of the way to make me feel welcomed. About 15 minutes in I had ordered a drink and the servers wanted me to know the kitchen was closing soon. I was struggling with the French menu trying to decipher. Took about 20 min before they realized my struggle and brought me an English menu. Good to know.... Ask for an English menu if you don't understand French!! Ordered a rib eye steak which was absolutely amazing. They didn't put a lot of extra seasoning on so the taste of the sear on the outside was perfect with the amazing beefy flavor. Having grown up in the country, a hunting family, the natural wasn't what I'd call gamey but definitely had more flavor than just any other steak I've had! Would highly recommend it if looking for a nice date night in the area or enjoy a relaxed solo meal. Just don't come too close to the kitchen closing around 930 pm I believe

We are extremely disappointed by our visit to the Cafetaria. Everything was very greasy, fried in overcooked chips, wind flight of sickening marcassin and chef's linguines, bathed in a very heavy Parmesan sauce. At midnight, we always digested our supper with top-of-the-heart. Really no desire to go back, we did not enjoy our meal at all. This restaurant does not deserve the 4€ tip left!

When the waiter came to take our order, he strongly insisted on a condescending tone, that the only drinks available are those present on the menu, even if in the end there were out of stock. He has repeated to us several times "capiche" in a contemptuous way to make us understand it. Then, on several occasions, he was completely disrespectful in the way he spoke, looked like a hidden camera, or that he had been drinking. He dared to call an adult member of the group "son" with the same condescending tone, which is just inconceivable and extremely disrespectful. I keep a very bad experience of this place, because I assume that from the moment a customer chooses to come and consume in one business over another, he should be treated with great respect so that he feels pampered and does not regret his choice. It's a shame because it's a very nice place and the food at the delicious area.
