I had googled best moules frites in Liege and L'industrie came in the top 3 search results. A humble and not very noticable restaurant, my colleagues were not impressed when we stood outside the restaurant, but I convinced them to to dine at L'industrie and...we were pleasantly surprised by the good quality of the food and the great service of the place. I would definately recommend this restaurant and if I ever come back to Liege I know where to go for moules frites.More

We had out 1st dinner in Lyon here and enjoyed the outdoor environment. Unfortunately the service and food did not match.

I always go there when I do get folks from abroad so it is definitely not my first time but it is always a delight to go for their “classics” as you can see in the pics below. It does not only look good it...does even taste better! The food quality is high, all fresh and they cook it with generosity! On top of this there is a nice service with a smile and no flaws! Be aware that you have to pay cash! No cards allowed! Despite this little issue (ATM 50m away from the place) I really recommend the restaurant if you want to eat truly Belgian food and get a taste of my hometown! Oooops almost forgot to mention about the beers!!! Great variety and you will for sure find your happiness and get one matching your dishes 🙂More

L’Industrie is a cosy local restaurant that specializes in moules frites (mussels with French fries). The frites are amazing. Double fried the Belgian way with ox fat that makes them soft inside and super crispy outside. The quality of the mussels (mariniere) is excellent, but...they are not thouroughly rinsed. To much beard, to much sand - and the soup was too bitter and salty. I’ve had much butter moules frites in other Belgian cities. We ordered draught beer with the food, which was maybe a mistake. In my opinion the local beer - Jupiter - is not as good as Leffe.More

We had a late lunch after two pm so the restaurant was quiet. my mum frequents this restaurant for the last 18 years and highly recommended the mussels which I enjoyed , and she had the trout . Both well cooked and satisfying . Although...they close by 230, we were allowed to finish our meal without any hassles. I particularly like the Belgium made fruit drink available.More

Traditional restaurant from Liège, one of the best of the town. I had meat balls with homemade french fries. What a meal!! It was lunch and dinner!! The meatballs are huge and solid, and come with great amount of fries. The sauce is very good...too! The staff is peofessional and kind. Clean bathrooms.More

We reserved a table for two at 8:30pm. Arrived on time, we were settled on the first floor. We order 15minutes after arrival and only our drinks came on time (thanks god). There was a group of 20 people just behind us and they were...noisy and got all the waitress and waiter attention. Our entree arrived 1hour after order. We asked for bread, but she forgot. The soup was really good, despite the waiting!! Our mussels were also excellent (arrived after 1h30 after order)! A spoon provided by the waiter was disgustingly dirty. In summary, the service is deplorable... just have to say bravo to the poor chef! They also couldn't provide credit card service. Well, we might try again or not.More

We were looking for a non-tourist restaurant that served traditional food and this place did not disappoint. The staff were very friendly and the moules were fantastic.

Food was great (one of the best places to have boulets sauce lapin), but mainly the atmosphere: people were really enjoying their time there, like true Belgians!

What can I say? This was a fantastic place to eat and the food was excellent! And it was proper food as well!. We stumbled upon this place as a group of 5 of us was looking for somewhere to eat and we wasn't disappointed,so...much so we kept coming back every evening during our 4 night stay. The ribs are to die for! And the 1/2 chicken was excellent. The service from our waiter, the same every night, was excellent and first class. Would come here again when I'm next in liege. 10/10More

In a traditional Brasserie atmosphère, L'Industrie offers you a wide selection of traditional Belgian dishes at very affordable prices. The staff are warm and welcoming and the service is prompt. The food is excellent, in particular, the mussels, the tete de veau and the "boulets...frites" are legendary. L'Industrie also has a "meat menu" which offer a wide variety of meats for its more carnivorous clientèle.More

No doubt about food quality and variety. It represents local dishes really well and it is consistent and good, no problem. On the other hand, don't be in a hurry as it may be slow to be served and a negative point, they only accept...cash!More

You know the feeling you get sometimes, when you walk past a restaurant and just feel that it's going to be worth going to. That was exactly how I felt walking past it on a Sunday morning when it was still closed. We walked into...l'industrie in the evening, without having booked. We received a very warm welcome by the "patron" of the restaurant and were given great service - to include refills of our drinks and plates of frits without even asking for them! The dishes we tried were the, classic for Liege, Boullees au sauce lapin - a beautifully cooked dish with the sweet being slightly more sweet than the version I had a few days before at a small diner - and the amazing and highly recommended Jambonette au sauce moutarde a l'ancienne; a hock of ham, slow smoked and then roasted. You couldn't tell whether it was a piece of cured ham, a piece of slow roasted pork, or both. Melt in the mouth, with a lovely mustard and cream sauce. Both were served with delicious double-cooked chips. The service was great; we felt really looked after. The environment is very friendly and welcoming, and the interior of the resturant is interestingly but not overwhelmingly decorated. Price-wise, one would probably classify it as mid-range, although in the grand scheme of it I thought it was excellent value and quality for money. I would definitely go there again, and recommend it very highly.More

We have eaten several times and never been disappointed. Good, hearty local food - huge pork knuckles, delicious rabbit in prune sauce, and many more. Reasonably priced - about €20 per head. Service is very welcoming and it's full of locals. Highly recommended.
