This is an unpretentious country pub. We had the lunchtime menu and the food was quickly prepared hot and tasty. It was reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and efficient. A nice change from the chain pubs.

A favourite place for a superb good value lunch with a great beer from Caphouse Brewery. Always a good welcome and the views are stunning.

Good food at a reasonable price. Friendly staff and excellent local ales. We will be back soon to sample more of the menu. Would recommend to friends and family.

First time we been there, average pup. We had 2 lunches for a tenner. 2 roasts, 1 beef and one pork. Both looked and tasted like reheats. There was plenty on the plates. Good selection of beers.

We noticed the landlady was pre-disposed, but her team rallied round and kept all the balls in the air, fantastic service, good food, friendly...More

Very quiet when we visited. Good selection of drinks available, reasonable cost. Great views from the conservatory and quite a cosy pub. Only criticism is the decor looks very busy with drawings, beer mats etc stuck everywhere, makes it look a little scruffy. Did feel...More

the reindeer is not a hotel, food and drink only. I have not seen any dogs in there, seating is available outside, inside or in the restaurant. If you are looking for a hotel nearby I suggest the Midgley Lodge Motel it has a... More
