This was booked by a work colleague that's into sushi and Asian tastes, so I happily went along. I found service fast and attentive - my beer and starter came fairly quickly, and my duck main appeared soon after that. There was quite a lot...on the plate for the duck meal and it was fatty with crispy skin - delicious. The rice and salad complemented it well, but next time I won't bother with the starter and just stick to the main course. This feels as though several of you should order dishes to share in the middle, rather than select your own individual one. I can't comment on any other dishes as I didn't try them out, but based upon my first experience I'll certainly look at returning again.More

We came here with a gift voucher, this place serves very good dumplings and sushi. I cannot tell for the other plates but everything being served looked very tasty. The staff is very friendly.

We enjoyed the Oishi 4 2 . That means you receive a wide choice of sushi, sashimi, etc. for 25 euro pro person. This way you can discover the fresh products of this cozy restaurant in the center of Hasselt. Warm reception from the waitress...and quick service.More

We had been here before with a rather good experience. This time we decided to order sushi as a starter and then continue with grilled dishes. The sushi was fresh and OK, but the grilled dishes were disappointing e.g. the duck and the meat on...a stick. Our advice: go for the sushi but avoid the grilled dishes, for sure you find them in a much better quality elsewhere.More

We wanted to have Japanese food after visiting Japanese garden in Hasselt and chose this restaurant because there was no other Japanese restaurant that serves lunch in the area. The decoration of the restaurant is nice, but it gives the impression that this is not...a real Japanese food restaurant immediately. We order the Sushi lunch menu and Sashimi lunch menu. The dishes go with Miso soup at the beginning. There was only four customers in the restaurant when we walked in, so the service was quite speedy. The Miso soup was served in an open ceramic bowl, instead of a close wooden bowl like at a real Japanese restaurant. We didn't really mind it because we want taste the Miso soup immediately. It was a bowl of soup in oil. The layer of oil is a bout 1cm on top of the soup. We have to ask for a spoon because they didn't put out the spoon. I guess they want to customer to drink the soup directly without a spoon. It was not a real Miso soup either. I asked the staff and was told that was a Miso soup cooked with Salmon bone. Then they should change the name of the soup to "Fish soup with Miso flavor" otherwise the customer will expect the real Japanese Miso soup. The Sushi and Sashimi were not bad. Actually, it is better than a lot of Dutch Japanese restaurant in North Brabant run by non-Japanese owners. We ordered the Japanese tea before leaving. It was served in a fancy tea pot. When I poured the tea to the tea cup it was so burning hot that I could not pick it up with my hands. Normally the cup would stays warm only and keeps the tea inside hot so that the drinker can pic it up. With their special tea cup, the heat from the tea transferred to the cup 100% and the tea is cool while the cup is burning hot. The cup itself also has some broken piece so when you drink, you have to pay attention not to get hurt. If you don't want to burn your mouth and your fingers, don't order this tea. If I were the restaurant owner, I would definitely change the tea cup to avoid any possible incident may happen to the customer.More

sushi was served in very beautiful way, nevertheless there was not much taste in it. very nice service but far too overpriced!!!

As an entrance, I took a typical asian soup (I don't remember its name). It was amazing and tasty. We than took a boat of sushis. It was great, but nothing special here. I will probably return, within 3 months, but not order a boat....Any suggestions, if the restaurant's owner read this, is welcome.More

The ordering via the site was not that a great experience. In the confirmation mail they mention that you can collect the order on the hour you requested. But there was no possibilty to add an hour to collect during the order. Strange - so...I gave them a call and had to order again by phone. But for this inconvenience they offered me a drink on the house while I waited when they finished the order. (the agreed time was apparently not enough.) But then the food made up for this - we ordered the group menu: Sushi deluxe and starters. (It is a group menu - per person. They group the soup, starter, salad and sushi) - the different fish in the sushi where tuna, salmon and mackerel - it wasn't a large diversity. But we had eaten enough - and the sushi was good.More

We were faced with a wide chpice of dishes but mainly very good quality sushi, most probably best in town. Cosy atmosphere and preparation visible for visitors. Due to the manual individual preparation some waiting time but worth waiting. Friendly service by very international waitress...with good suggestions.More

They were able to squize us in, in between 2 other reservations, which was really great. The food looked absolutely stunning, was fresh and tasted heavenly! We also ordered the miso soup (first time) but no regrets there. In future this will Always be on...my wishlist. The aperitive maison was very nice as well... Very good value for money and great location.More

The sushi is great but the only minus is that you have to wait a long time for it to be served so if you have a lot of time go ahead and enjoy your great meal. The warm sushi is also 👌🏻👌🏻

Although I am not really into Japanese food I have to admit I became one after my visit to Oishii Sushi Grill & More. Top service and really really excellent prepared meals.
