Right outside my hotel and I stumbled upon it by accident. Frites are very good and plenty of sauces on offer. However, I have had better but would still recommend this for the atmosphere, quality of frites, and it is a good price too! You can bring the frites to nearly any restaurant in the square and order beer, drinks,... More

Mystery meat abounds. The fries are nothing at all special. Honestly very disappointing, maybe if you're sloshed on some cheap swill, you come here to soak it up, but ot special at all.

I've visited twice so far, and the food has been consistently good. I go back more for the mitrailettes more so than for the frites. I don't know if it's because I always take the frites back to my hotel, but the frites are quite crunchy, borderline hard. I've gone late at night when they run out of most options... More

The frites in Maison Antoine are really good - crispy, but not oily. Love them. Portions are large (grand cornet in enough for two if not very hungry) and the price is very OK - 2,5 euros for the grand cornet. There´s huge choice of different sauces - their Samurai is the best I´ve tried in Brussels so far. The... More

I have had the frites a couple of times in the last weeks while visiting my daughter who lives in the neighborhood. I don't pretend to be an expert, but these really are pretty good, and the large is more than enough for two people. If you are not taking them home, the numerous bars on the square will let... How much better can fries really get when they're already pretty great to begin with? We kept wondering this while we were searching for Maison Antoine, which everyone seems to think serves the best fries in brussels (some even said, best in the world). We got excited from all the fuss and because we've heard how passionate belgians are about... More

I've been here once to taste the famous frites of place Jourdan. Well, they're good but I personally prefere the one of Place Flagey. I'm not belgian so i don't have the local taste. As usual in every good friterie you won't miss the queue.

9 out of ten times the frites here are the best in Brussels. I think the 10th time the oil was old or something like that. You buy the frites and whatever else you want. Sauces are extra. I ask for my sauce 'à part' so you get it in a small plastic container instead of the top smothered and... More

Everyone rave about this place and the frites are really not that exceptionnal. Good frites but not at all worth the trip. If you happen to walk by the area and feel like eating some frites then yes, go right ahead. However, it's nothing to ride home about. I had better frites Chez Leon

Went here for frites after reading some great reviews and they didn't disappoint. The best thing was that a few of the many pubs round about have signs saying they'll let you sit and have a drink with your fries. We visited on a sunny day and it was lovely sitting with a cold drink and some hot frites. The... More
