Probably THE famous friterie in Brussels - so be prepared to queue up. The frites are always fresh and quite good. Love the huge selection of sauces

Grew up in Brussels and always loved the place, who evolved and gentrified with the neighborhood. But the quality is still there and the frites sauce andalouse a must. Recommend to take and sit at the corner cafe Autobus with a Grimbergen beer. Recommended for...foodies, in solo, groups, families or even lovers...More

The fries are really good, but the lack of hygiene of the place makes me crazy and it is not only one time thing! They sneeze in their hand, they cough in their hand, they touch the money and touch the food being served. No...gloves, no alcohol around for them to clean their hands. The 2 ladies working there just smoke behind the store and without washing their hands they come to serve you. I don’t know how this friterie has a good reputation as they are disgusting in the way of serving food. Besides that, the lady took my money and gave me less change for it, I told her that I gave 10 euro and she insisted that I gave only 5. And I KNOW I was right. Yesterday I paid for 2 fries and the guy insisted I paid only one, he had to print the receipt to be sure that I was right. They are constantly messing up with money and ordering.More

Read some where that its one of the best places to try the Belgian French Fries. The place is crowded and they have 3 service points all having long queues. The fries is enormous though we ordered the small size , they were okay but...much below the expectations , they have 12 different sauces to go with the sauces we tried the catch-up, Brazilian, Andalusia, and the Samurai all are average and I would suggest to always have a catch up one as extra in case you don't like your sauce. Overall not recommendedMore

The fries were delicious, but the mayonnaise was nothing special (it comes from a pump and tastes like normal mayonnaise). At many restaurants we went to, we were constantly served homemade mayonnaise and really enjoyed their unique flavors. Here we were not impressed by the...selection of the sauces.More

This place was recommended to us by the guide. It seems to be very popular - but who can be surprised by the long line in Brussels? Anyway, looks like this place had been there for ages, starting from a small truck, kiosk and then...a big shop. The specialty of the place is, of course, famous Belgian fries with various souces. The interesting thing is, the place does not offer tables or chairs, and barely has a roof to hide you from the rain, but all of the cafes around allow you to come in with the meal, offering you drinks and tables. I think the food is good, crispy and fresh, but I think small portion is enough for everyone.More

There is a never ending queue to taste fries from this place and not without a good reason - they are good!

Excellent chips. Many of the restaurants and bars around the square advertise that you can take food in with you and the expectation is that you will buy a drink. We’ve been many times over the years and the new shack is tres smart.

Queued for ages today to sample one of the apparent must do's in Brussels. I wouldn't rush back. Whilst the frites are nice and crunchy they are really no better than frites at various stalls we've already tasted and seem tone just a Brussels bucket...list experience you can easily afford not to do. If you have large frites btw get some sauce.More

Couldn't very well visit Belgium without indulging in some pommes frites and this place delivered. Best if all, the surrounding beer bars don't mind you eating at their tables as long as you buy a drink!

I couldn't find any information on their website, but traditional Belgian chips are fried in animal fat, so I am pretty sure Antoine uses animal fat, so you may want to avoid those. As pointed out by another traveller... More
