Outstanding japanese lunch for 25 € with 8 small tasting dishes and a choice between various main dishes - nice and stylish setting and friendly service.
Great find for our son’s birthday. Excellent 5 course set menu with Japanese inspiration. Friendly informal service though it would have been nice with just a little bit more info on what was being served. The table could have been cleaner and the table close...to the door was rather cold but that won’t overshadow the great taste of the food.More
We went to Seino for Valentine's and had the 5 course degustation menu. The waiters were very professional and helped us choosing a delicious saké and green tea. Every dish was just perfect. The presentation was exquisite and the flavours were extremely rich. The 'jus'...in the two main dishes was to die for! We can not find any bad thing to say. We highly recommend it! Seino it's now on our top favourite gastronomy experiences.More
Went with friends last week and we all took the lunch menu of 3 courses, the place has great decorations so does the food. I had high expectations as it was repeatedly recommended by some friends as a great place for fusion food. however we...got either french or japanese food (for example inarizushi, wakame salad or veggie soup+bread, french style steak), not really fusion as expected. Portion-wise was pretty generous for a fine dining restaurant. Service was a bit disappointing and really slow. Finally the quality/price ratio is rather good but the taste was not amazing.More
Excellent food, especially the starters of the tastings menù. We have been there for lunch, and we tried both the fish main than the beef main. Desserts ok but under the average. Wine and sakes are super interesting but definitely expensive. Location is amazing and...service is super good. Time: approximately 2 hours for a 3 service menù. Overall a very good experience even if a little bit expensive. If you don’t mind to spend 10/15€ more than the material value of the meal, it’s highly recommended. Food: 3.5/5 Location: 4.5/5 Service: 4.5/5 Quality/Price:3/5 (food: 4/5 wine 2/5)More
Strangely no menu for lunch. The food was nicely decorated but the taste was nothing impressive. Service is poor and slow. And unlike what was mentioned outside the restaurant, coffee was not included in lunch menu (no apologies). What a pity!
Fixed menu wasnt evident on booking. Food was good but none of it would have been our preference. Start to finish was 3hrs in fill restaurant and only 2 serving staff. Not worth the price. Not worth revisiting.
Out of 24 seats in the room, there were 15 occupied. I was warned that the meal will be fixed. That was OK But it was written by shorthand on a piece of paper that had to be shown from table to table. The waitress...didn't explain what each dish was made of, as is customary when the menu is fixed (at the price of €55). The worse part was that she started bringing the courses at 7 pm, with lengthy pauses in-between, and the whole dinner lasted three hours. I had to ask her to bring me the desert before the others, as I had to rush to catch my train. There was no way I could get a customized service, and the cook was slow and treating us as a kindergarden group so that each one of us received each couse at the same pace and time. It wasn't the waitress's faute, but the chef's. And I imagine that if the restaurant had been full, it would have been even slower, as ther was one waiter, and seemingly just one chef.More
Does it count if we ate this chef's food... away from his restaurant? Seino had a stand at a recent food fair in the park of Brussels ("Parc"), and we were attracted by his presentation. Delicious. So now, we just have to go to his...actual restaurant to see him in his element.More
We had there a dinner which was interesting - mainly see food and fish all very tasteful even if the tastes were not typical "European". But that they ran out of beer...
This is a fixed menu. French culture meets Japanese cuisine. They are very flexible, though, if you have food allergies, or diet restrictions. Everything was excellent.
No menu to choose from, but always an interesting fixed combination of rather small dishes which combine East and West through a Japanese touch on almost everything. Good selection of sake and other drinks. Worth to visit again.
Well balanced and positively surprising Japanese interpretation of the French cuisine. Everything fresh and mmm...tasty! Good - albeit not large - wine choice. Great idea - the 5 course unique menu changing every day - allowing the artisans in the kitchen to give their best....Which they did to our delight! Waiter was quite helpful in explaining everything both in French and English. Knowledgeable about the wine too. Elegant and very "Japanese" decoration, cosy and relaxed place. Will be back soon!More
Wow, very impressed by the setting, the service, and the quality of products. Warm and cozy atmosphere, enough space between the tables to guarantee some privacy, a very good spot for a date! The service was top level: we received a warm welcome with Chef...Seino-san coming to personally greet us. Also a big thank-you to waiter Ronald for the kind attention and professionalism when serving each dish (there is only 1 set course, it changes on a regular base). The food is very unique, kind of a mix of French and Japanese cuisine with a personal touch from the Chef. Very good value for money, and a wide variety of Japanese sake and wines for a reasonable price - highly recommended. *Be careful, only credit card and cash payment accepted, no Bancontact!More
