Disappointing. I had big expectations, but the dishes were not so tasteful. Overnight, I didn’t feel so well, same my wife and the other friends who were with us. Not advised

It is really unbelievable that each course in the menu includes some kinds of mushroom, yes beginning from starter lasting until the dessert each of which is really delicious and elegant. Please remember to secure your reservation which is alsı doable over the web site...and keep in mind that the seating capacity is very limited. A must have experience which you will never regret! PS: menu is being updated regularly and there is no a la carte menu.More
We were looking for somewhere nice to have dinner in Brussels on a Saturday evening & this place stood out. We love mushrooms & were intrigued by the fact that every course incorporated them. We loved the decor & layout of the restaurant & enjoyed...being sat upstairs so we could watch the food being prepared below. The starters & the mains were lovely. The pork & shitake main was stunning. We had a desert to share, which was a mint creme brûlée with cacao crumb which was good except the mushrooms with it had an odd texture. If we find ourselves in Brussels again we will definitely be back. The service & atmosphere was very laid back.More
The food was delicious and it's great to discover the many (unusual) ways mushrooms can be part of any dish. Very friendly staff and nice, cosy atmosphere.
We had an excelleny eventing with good food and very helpfull staff. The fish was delicious. We would definitely recommend if you are a foody and love to be surprised.
We went to this place due to the novelty that EVERY dish (including desert) includes some type of mushroom. This is definitely a bit off the beaten path and not touristy, but loved the menu and the staff. We would definitely recommend if you are...a foody.More
I really enjoyed the originality to include various types of mushrooms in all dishes. Possibility to go for different combo (starter/main/deserts).
We took over friends visiting Brussels there. Enjoyed our meal and service. Mushrooms in a dessert can work too!
As you would imagine from the name of the restaurant all the courses here introduce a wild variety of mushrooms in each dish, even up to the desserts which are very special! The ingenuity and imaginative pallet of the chef is exciting and extraordinarily good...value for money. the decor is modest yet very charming and sets a lovely friendly atmosphere. the staff are delightful and explained in english, the origin and the ingredients, cooking techniques of each course before we eat it. this place is an experience I highly recommend trying if you want to celebrate something or interested in gastronomy!More
Nicolas Scheidt is no workaday chef. The plucky Alsatian has done practically everything a French chef SHOULDN'T do: he worked for top British—that's rosbief, to you—restaurants after completing his training; he opened a successful bistro in Paris—and then sold it; and then he committed the...unspeakable crime of moving to Belgium. Quel dommage! But, in Brussels, he has found both a discerning public and much praise—some of his pop-up projects have sold out months in advance. This, his original Brussels restaurant, has the quirky eccentricity that rather explains his natural appeal in the land of comic strip surrealism, which also has high standards when it comes to food. A restaurant posited around the glory of the mushroom in all its glory, Café des Spores has been packing them in ever since its debut in this hipster neighbourhood of Brussels some time ago. If you love your chanterelles, Chantal, this is the place to head. With a small menu curated by the chef based on market-fresh produce, this is not dining defined by a set menu, but rather a fungus-specific enclave assembled by the guy who invented the "neo bistro" long before Septime in Paris gained its Michelin star. Book well in advance. Because there's not mushroom inside. Boom, boom!More
The moment we walked into this restaurant We knew we were into a winner. The well thought out black and natural interior mimicking the colouring of the mushroom itself. Then there was the really lovely and friendly service and (this is one of my most...loved things when eating out) a simple and effective menu - to choose from 3 starters, 3 mains, 1 cheese (the pecorino... and boy was it good!!) and 2 desserts. Excellent wines available by the glass too. Try it you won’t regret it.More
The concept of this restaurant, including mushrooms in every dish including desert, is quite audacious but it works. The portions are small but the tastes are big, delicate and refined. Since the kitchen relies on whatever is available from the market on the day, the...menu changes daily. The menu is actually a series of "prix fixe menu" and the price depends on the combination of dishes you choose. A 3 course meal with appetizer, main dish and desert goes for about €34. Add cheese and the price is €41. You could just as well try the 2 course appetizer and main dish or any other combination. The presentation is a work of art that compliments the food very nicely.More
The dishes were beautiful, tasty and interesting. The menu is short, but it doesn't disappoint, if you love mushrooms and considering yourself a foodie. The wine was expensive though.
It's been 2 years that we heard about this restaurant and wanted to visit it and we finally did last week. Expectations were high and we did not get disappointed! Food is good (if you like mushrooms of course), staff is friendly and polite, the...place itself is very cozy. Definitely recommended!More
Was the first time we went to a restaurant with dedicated mushroom food. short but nice menu - prices app. €40 per person including wine and coffee. all dishes have mushrooms as main ingredients, but some have meat and fish as well. Dishes are very...tasty although the first impression is not wow due to lack of color in dishes. Bread on the side is truly delicious and is worth the detour :) Service is extremely friendly and efficient. Setting is casual and bistro like. Overall very nice and good value for price.More
