Le passage has long been one of my favourite Brussels restaurants.. Today we tried their take-away lunch menu, put in place due to COVID restrictions. Simply sublime. Well-thought out dishes that travel well, including mains that require a simple 20 minutes in the oven. i am in awe of how they have designed dishes that work just as well at home as in the restaurant. And for three spectacular courses at EUR 37 pp I fear this might become a weekly occurrence!!!

We visited this magnificent establishment this Friday, December 29, 2023. Everything was perfect, the dishes from appetizer to end of meal are excellent, refined and inventive cuisine. The atmosphere is perfect and the decoration invites the calm and serenity of the place. The room staff is attentive and very attentive to the smooth running of the evening. Special mention for the waiter who was able to convince me to taste the sweetbreads (a specialty of the House). At 50 years old I had never dared to try to taste these. It’s done and I don’t regret a single moment. Second mention for the room manager who realized that when paying the bill, there was €50 overpaid and did not hesitate for a single moment to tell us about it. May he be thanked and congratulated for his honesty and deep kindness. Very nice exchange also with the Chef at the end of the meal. This establishment deserves a star in the Michelin Guide.

It is rare that I express myself on the networks but for more than 20 years we have shared rare moments at Passage and I wanted to share our experience in a few words: from the welcome to the table, to the food, to the wines, to the details, impeccable hygiene, everything brings us back. Very high-level cuisine based on exceptional products sublimated by Chef Rocky Renaud, and a professional and warm welcome and room management from his son Kevin make this place a rare place that is worth the trip. This restaurant is a local one to where we live and tonight was the first time we visited . I can’t explain why we’ve never been before but there’s always been a ‘certain something’ that has prevented us from entering. Tonight we took the plunge but ended up sadly disappointed. We really do want to support local businesses, especially after Covid, but at the same time restaurants must also make an effort with their customer service. Complacency is dangerous. The gentlemen servers were very pleasant but service was slow, drinks were expensive and food, although well presented, was average. My husband was not happy with his pigeon dish and despite mentioning this, no effort was made to rectify. We both came away from the meal, €200 down but without that happy buzz of a good experience; my husband instead feeling resentful and with the feeling that we will not return. We have both experienced high end dining and have no problem paying for good food, however the staff need more training to recognise when customers are not happy and to have an appropriate and considerate response. Others may be happy and have a good experience but we won’t be returning in a hurry.

It’s always a pleasure to go to Le Passage, where the magnificent chef Rocky Renaud has been enjoying the taste buds of his clients for 30 years this year. With his former partner gone, there are only smiles in the room, and that of Kevin Renaud, the son, now perfectly complements that of his father. As customers for many years, the 38 euro menu this time disappointed us greatly. a starter like zakouskis then a few slices of veal (excellent) it's a little short for the price. No dessert, no coffee, not a glass of water. Too bad, it's not worth that anymore.

When we arrived, we had an easy access to the parking. We were 6 people and had a round table very appropriate. The food was excellent, good presentation, good taste. The wine chosen by themselves was excellent.

This is by far my favourite restaurant in Brussels, and each time I visit I love it more and more! The food is so delicious and well thought through, each course is a taste sensation and the restaurant has a lovely, warm atmosphere. A very good wine menu and very friendly and attentive staff. The whole experience from beginning to end is amazing. Free parking is a bonus. Highly recommended - I will definitely be back!

I visited this restaurant with my colleagues and had a nice surprise.
Service: fast and effective (that is surprising for Brussel)
Food quality: very good in all dishes: though a grouse breast was a little over cooked (dry) for my taste.
Design: minimalistic and stylish
Prices: moderate for this kind of restaurant, especially for wines.
Even on Tuesday almost all tables were occupied, so it gives another proof for this restaurant good reputation.
