A small Moroccan restaurant in the chique Uccle neighborhood in the south of Brussels. Food quality is good enough, while tasty it's a bit too salty. Portions are big enough tho. The mint tea is served with rose water for extra flavor. Service provided by...the staff was friendly and correct. It's a nice place to try oriental cuisine but nothing to rave about.More

We have heard about some very good couscous and tajine restaurants in the Moroccan area of Brussels, but sadly, these items are served only on Fridays! Le Touareg, and a few other Moroccan restaurants around the city are the exceptions and have couscous and tajine...every night. We had dinner here on a Wednesday and it was quite busy. This may have accounted for the poor service. We were 6 people sitting at a long table. Only 1 small bowl of olives were brought for all of us to share and the mint tea, however delicious, took ages to be delivered. The chicken portion of the chicken couscous was pretty disappointing. I had ordered this before some months back, and thought it was a fluke that it was so bad. So I figured I'd give it another chance. We ordered 2. It was still awful. When the dish arrived, it had some sort of strange smell emminating from the chicken. The other person who ordered the chicken said it smelled of an odd cheese. On top of that, the texture of the chicken was not correct. The fish tajine had good flavour, but again, the texture of the fish was off. It was mushy. And the bread accompaniment never came. Our 3 orders of merguez couscous were pretty good. The vegetables that came with our 5 couscous orders were good, but just came in 1 large bowl. This was quite difficult to share and pass around. And on a last note, it took an asking of 2 times and about 20 minutes just to get our bill. We won't be in a hurry to return.More

Not having much experience with Northafrican food, my husband and I were not sure what to expect. Would it be very spicy? I had booked a table via TripAdvisor to obtain a 30% discount on a 3-course meal. We were welcomed very nicely and throughout...the meal the service was good. The staff did not know about our booking, but luckily we had printed the confirmation.. The decor of the place is dark, relaxed and OK Our orders were taken fast, but there was a rather long waiting time before our starters were served. In the meantime we were served some really deliciously spiced olives and some equally delicious homemade bread . All our dishes - two different starters, two different main courses and the same dessert for both of us - were were nicely mediterranian/northafrican, pleasantly spiced with both many herbs and some nice mild spices. The portions were big. We had a bottle of a good Morrrocan wine (which turned out to be Tunesian) and half liter of mineral water. The quality - price ratio was excellent, and we got the 30% off, ending with a bill of 93€. This included 8 € for two mint-teas, which we had not ordered, did not need, still enjoyed, but shall next time specifically ask not to have without our consent. We enjoyed the long-lasting meal, and it is most likely that we'll find our way to Le Touareg another time.More

I love Moroccan food and was really happy to try this place. I took a chicken tagine with carrots, olives and potatoes. I was quite satisfied with it, although I would have appreciated a bit more potatoes. The waiter was super friendly. To recommend!

I was there with a friend for dinner. The food is simply delicious! You can really taste the flavors of Morocco in your plate! The staff is extremely nice and ready to provide recommendations for the wine. Go there if you want to have a...real moroccan experience and if you look for quality food. I totally recommend this restaurant and will definitely go back!More
