Having tried this place several times in the past for smaller groups, I chose it to host a lunch party for 13 including several young children who after a while moved a bit around the place. The manager gave us a family-friendly table by the...window and we enjoyed the yummy food this restaurant serves. Portions are generous and the Peshwari nam is the best in town. We also tried their nice mango and coconut ice cream dessert. You will go there for the food and efficient service rather than the deco. Prices are very reasonable for the high quality of the food. It was terrible and very disappointed as we have previously ordered few times. This time the chicken momo were not well cooked and very dry. Not only that, but they were also stale and we could smell that some of momo had gone off as...we had bought two portions. Two of us noticed the smell and stopped eating. Called the restaurant to tell them and the woman who picked up the phone became very aggressive.More

Having traveled ourselves to India and Nepal, we had good references regarding the cooking you may expect from these countries and were not disappointed with the Chef's menu. Savours and taste intact, not "westernized" as it too often happens. The house furnishing is a little...kitsch but this is not detrimental to the overal experience, the service being very gentle and polite. The restaurant clearly has regular "take-Away" customers, but this was discreetly treated and did not interfere with our own service.More

Wow, a typical Indian family restaurant with fantastic food. The take away scooters must know this place good, in 2hrs we seen at least a dozen of them come and pick up food. The prices are very cheap for this kind of quality. Highly recommended!

As we love Indian food we were happy to find an Indian-Nepalese restaurant on Chaussée de Waterloo we didn’t know yet. One of us tried out Taste of Raaj at lunchtime on a weekday and was the only diner, which is always a very awkward...situation to find yourself in. Judging by the number of Deliveroo bicycle couriers coming to fetch food for delivery, people clearly preferred this cheaper option. We went back for diner on a Saturday and the place was pleasantly crowded. We liked the fact that the view on the busy Chaussée de Waterloo is shielded by curtains and that some effort has been done to create a cosy atmosphere. We had the chicken tikka masala (13 euro) and the lamb tandoori (14 euro). While the chicken was nice enough, the lamb was too chewy. We also found the naan bread to be very greasy. Not a memorable meal but, for the price paid, one cannot expect too much. A nice thing is that Taste of Raaj serves both Indian, Nepali and Belgian beer. Service was very friendly.More

I ordered a dopiaza with naan and chicken momo dumplings. Overall, it cost 25 Euroes. First, the naan is not a naan. It's just tasteless dough burned in the oven. It's a totally different thing (see photo). Next, the dopiaza. The food is obviously old....It has no taste aside from grease and oil. It smells bad, and looks and tastes nothing like a dopiaza (it's almost black) aside from the onions. The most disgusting part is however the quality of the meat. It's full of veins, and hasn't been cleaned properly. Horrible. Avoid this place at all cost. Low quality food is common in Brussels but this is another level. Avoid especially if you've ever had indian food before.More

chicken biryani is one of my favorite dishes and if a restaurant passes the chicken biryani test then Ill come back to try the other dishes. Unfortunatly the chicken biryani was very bad, not only lacking in flavour but congealed and wet

Pleasant surprise, we visited taste of Rahj on a Saturday evening. The food was tasty (we had chicken curry) and the atmosphere cosy. I missed the Indian beer (only Belgian beer available) but overall we had a good time. The staff was nice and helpful....Recommended.More

I was happy to find this new spot near home, with good food and pleasant - if a bit distracted - service. The dal soup was too salty, and the chutney and raita came straight out of the fridge - even the containers were too...cold! Otherwise, the meal was enjoyable and the food authentically North Indian. My son loved his chicken korma, and the mattar paneer was one of the best I've ever had. It seems also to be Halal, for those who care. We'll definitely return!More
