This place was recommended to us by locals for great food and that we had. The only problem was that none of us spoke or can read French. The waiter was no help and luckily with the help of smartphones we finally were able to order. But like I said earlier the food we got was great. The Ambiente was... More

Having read the reviews on this page I was perhaps over optimistic about this restaurant. We had an early booking 7pm and were put at a very cramped table upstairs. The restaurant was close to empty at this stage and service was prompt and pleasant. I had the seafood plate, my colleagues cod and tuna respectively. The food was good... More

This place is always full, so reservation might be a good idea. The food is very good and the place is a bit pricy. The stuff is very helpful but there is no english menu and most of the stuff speaks only in French.

We chose this superb place for our last dinner-out in Brussels. It is just off Rue des Bouchers near Grand Place. Stroganoff was his choice and it was divine. Mine was the mixed fish grill, delicious. It seems that every dish is of a very high quality.

I come to this restaurant from time to time, and I have never been disappointed. They serve a high quality Belgian-French cuisine. As the game season started, we chose to remain with this theme. As starter we had a “cassolette” of wild mushrooms and then we continued with hare filet accompanied by an apple stuffed with cranberries. A bottle of... More

We were here as a group of 10 for a quite informal dinner. The service was amazing, all the waiters are lovely and the food is absolutely fantastic. I would highly recommend it for a traditional Brussels restaurant and food and it is situated in the beautiful Galerie St. Hubert.

Of the myriad restaurants in the Rue des Bouchers area, this traditional French cuisine restaurant stands out as not one of the overpriced, underwhelming tourist traps so common in this area. Make reservations well in advance (I had our hotel concierge make reservations a couple of weeks prior to our trip) and be able to read the menu written in... More

You are not welcomed at restaurant de l'Ogenblik but merely tolerated. We did not have a booking and would fully understand if the restaurant was full but it wasn't. So why the long faces? And why the indifferent service. Menu is over hyped or perhaps they save the good cooking for another night. Food was average and not worth a... More

For its location, this place is commendably non-touristy, probably because it is a notch more pricey than its "me too" neighbours. I had lunch here with a small group of work colleagues and most of the other diners seemed to be doing the same. Flemish was the predominant language. All the food we had was spot on; the star for... Recommended by a local friend, our group of 5 had dinner last night. They were attentive to my vegan diet which I much appreciated and I had a very good risotto, others had very good sea bass, salad with cheese, and the pigeon, for an unusual experience. Portions were good sized, prices were on the higher side but not outrageous.... More
