We reserved a table for sundaynight and got a confirmation. On tha afternoon of the reservation I called the restaurant to check if we could push back our reservation with 30 minutes. The lady on the phone said that the restaurant was closed that evening....We got no information or annulation of the reservation. She was unfriendly and didn’t want to help us to find another restaurant. Customers aren’t important for this business.More

We ate here in December when there is a great deal going on outside with people socialising. The food was good and reasonably priced. We would be happy to eat here again.

We went as family for lunch. In overall the experience was good and no complain. The service and food was very good but nothing extraordinary.. I had the "Saucisse de campagne" for 16.00 euro and I enjoyed it. For my daughter we ordered "Boulettes frittes"...for about 10 euro and it was good. In general it is not a restaurant that OI would plan to go there again next time visiting Bruxelles.More

Made a booking here as everywhere else we tried was full.Arrived not expecting too much as it's position on the grand place would suggest a tourist trap.We were however very pleasantly surprised. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and the staff very friendly. The food was...delicious..we opted for chicken waterzoi. The house wine was decent and the beer selection extensive. The price was reasonable for the quality and situation.More

We had lunch and all the dishes were tasty and well prepared. The cozy environment and the spot are perfect for a day downtown Brussels!

Booked very late but table was found for 2 with excellent service and great Vegetarian option too - the spinach lasagne was really great and as was my friends meat lamb dish. The bread was the best I had during my tay in Brussels.

Very slow but friendly service. I was expecting better food given the recommendations. The beer was excellent though.

Visited on a Tuesday night in January with 25+ work colleagues. The restaurant was prepared and already set up for us. Unfortunately, we weren’t in the vaulted dining room but the room we had had a fantastic view over the Grand Place. The food was...good, as was the beer and service. The portions are big, so don’t fill up on the starters. Would recommend a visit if you are in Brussels.More

Spent New Year’s Eve there. Memorable great typical dishes for moderate prices. Menu includes dishes that are rustic and really tasty. Service long but waiters are so nice and friendly.

We have been to Brussels many times and never been able to find a consistently good Belgium bistro restaurant. We always travel to Brussels on business (party of 4 )late in October so the city is not terrible busy but most of the restaurants treat you...as tourists believing you will only visit once, Big Mistake.the Het Kelderke is guilty of this assumption.Do not ever sit in the basement, the heat is incredible and this was late October, in the summer it must be unbearable. Now to the food .I ordered the chicken vol-au-vent which was tasteless and the pastry soft and flabby which should have been crisp & flaky.I think it had been put into a microwave to be in that state and the rest of our party were also not impressed. Also you think because of the international clientele it caters to, it would give the proper translation on the menu.Treacle flan reads sugar pie and even the waiter didn't know what it was .Another one to knock off the list !! It is not cheap as most of the restaurants in Brussels, but if the food is good you do not mind paying for qualityMore

Hi Jodie, my husband and I visited Brussels in May, and we walked in for dinner around 7pm. No wait, and we were seated immediately. Good food - recommend the mussels in white wine sauce and Flemish bed in beer sauce... More
