Went there first time for the new year's eve, it was expensive but the food was really good. They also have a good wine selection from France, Spain, Portugal and the US.

We had 3 lovely meals in La Quincaillerie last night. The mussels, the cod and the sole were just excellent. It is not cheap but it is very good. I would highly recommend it and I would definitely go back.

Can be crowdy, but the setting is astonishing. Good oysters, different types availables. Seafood is the core business but they have also typical Belgian meatdishes and other entrecotes and steacks. A bit more expensive but understandable according to the magic of the place. Romantic dinner or havist a nice time with friends, you will find what you seak here! Come... More

Going to La Quincaillerie was our first restaurant experience after moving to Ixelles. And what a great one! You are wow'ed the minute you walk in the door. The beautiful old hardware store has been transformed into something out of a fairytale book. We were seated on one of the narrow balconies (almost touching the sealing) with view of the... More

Great and impressive setting in a former pharmacy. Quite an investment in the set up. Very professional. The servers work extremly hard in carrying the food from the open kitchen in the basement to the first and second floor guests. We ordered seafood dishes that were all excellent. My saffron took us there for her 3rd visit.

I found this restaurant in a magazine, can't remember, if it was Delta's magazine or Travel and Leisure. Either way, it looked nice and our hotel concierge said it was good as well. So we had the concierge make reservations, as he said that they could be busy. We thought that a little strange for Sunday night. It was busy... More

To make it short, you can definitely find better places (food, atmosphere, service, etc) somewhere else for same price or even lower. Just seems trendy but once you've been there, that's it. To be honest, we've been there a few times because we wanted to give this restaurant another chance but that's it. It's not especially worth it.

We had dinner and all the food was really fade and dull. I ordered a lasagna and got a salad with some pasta in the bottom and the others had chicken to forget about. Go elsewhere really!

This restaurant is really magnificent. It used to be an Iron Mongers hence all the elaborate iron railings, so you feel you are transported back in time. The oysters were delicious and the images of the restaurant speak volumes as its just a beautiful place and worth every penny in my opinion. The only down side is that we were... More

The setting is unique. High ceiling, old parts of the old hardware store , you can still see the drawers in the back of the bar. The service is excellent, attentive, excellent recommendations, service with a smile.. don't forget that the kitchen is downstairs and that the waiters are going up and down at all time always with a smile.The...
