The food is sufficient and most of the Mezes were tasty (not all). One had a slightly burnt taste, another had an excellent taste.
But we mainly gave the three stars for the service. We didn't feel welcome. The lady behind the bar (who came out sporadically) was very friendly. But the lady serving kept looking at us grumpily and couldn't get any further than 'ok'. We understand that the Flemish or English language is not spoken everywhere, but you can also solve that with a friendly smile or gesture. There was clearly more interest in other tables than in tables with tourists (I also saw the differences at other tables).
What a difference from other eateries we have been to this week and received friendly service!

We went with a friend. Impeccable service by the waitress and quite good cocktails. We ate a great tabbouleh but a crepe and a filled galette. The pancake was generally good but too salty! I would still go back with pleasure!

The meal was super delicious. My friend and I had hamburgers and fries. I had the most delicious vegetarian hamburger ever. The staff is young and friendly, they speak English well. We didn't need a reservation to get a table. I would definitely go back and recommend this lovely restaurant to the future tourist in Brussels.

They don’t know how to mix a cocktail and the 15 eur champagne is in a plastic glass and on top it’s from a bottle that has been open for some time as the bubbles were almost gone. A call rhis a rip-off.

A very cozy small bar with great variety of beers and alcohols. We had some of those strong, great Belgium beers and they were fantastic.
The service was also good.

Sorry if you don't like our Purple Cosmopolitan, but yes we add some curaçao blue to have the "Purple Color" (for the Purple Rose, name of the bar), that why we call it Purple Cosmo and that's why we indicate all the ingredients on the menu

You eat here for the atmosphere of it being right in the thick of things by Grand Place. Definitely not the service or the average food! Very confused about the numerous high reviews.

Kept roaming the Grand Place area not knowing what we wanted and landed here by the warm goat cheese salad. We also ordered the 100% beef burger and were not disappointed. The prices here are much more reasonable than closer to the square which charge more for their location and ambiance. Wait staff was very attentive and pleasant. Will definitely return to try the steak and fries.

A great little pavement café overlooking the square with a small market where you can watch the world go by, with a selection of meals that was extensive considering it's size. The waiting staff are very efficient and friendly bearing in mind it was a very hot and busy weekend, they coped well. The lunch we had, goats cheese salad and the ubiquitous 'moules' was tasty and good value, we enjoyed it a lot and returned on more than one occasion and it was always a pleasure!

Was here for dinner. The food and the ambience was good. The service decent. The food potions are quite large. I would recommend sitting inside as the place outside can get quite noisy in the evenings.

We stopped at this restaurant by chance and ended up really enjoying our meal. We sat outside, being entertained by street musicians & people-watching, whilst eating plump, tasty mussels & frites. My husband had the fish & chips with a (huge) beer, which he said was also very good.

The food and price is reasonable but the treatment is terrible. The waiter was more concerned with his mobile phone than with the customers. I had to go inside to make our order. Also, I am still waiting for the sparkling water I ordered. I do not recommend.

Went there for food. We ordered hamburger and pasta. The food was ok, nothing special at all, not good and not horrible. The service was ok. If it was a cheap place it would've been worth it. Maybe better to just go for a drink there
