I had the pizza diavola and it tasted amazing. Good thin-crust with spicy sausage. The lasagna was also good, but the risotto was a bit dry. Friendly and helpful staff. Recommend!

we found this by accident while staying in Brussels for a week. The pizza / pasta was so good we went back for dinner mid week. Service good / food very good. We ate outside but seemed nice infdoors too.
It is a very good place with good food, friendly and polite personnel. So, I recommend to everybody want to spend relaxed evening enjoying the real good Italian feeling and food in Brussels. ...e riguardo al cibo non mi accontento facilmente
thank you very much for your words. We will be delighted to serve you once again. Best regards. Fabrizio
Fake Italian cuisine, starting with pizza-bread served with butter (goes with oil) and finishing with a second course of meat served with tomato pasta as side dish (!!!). The food was not bad but it’s not at all traditional. The owner fakes an Italian accent...when speaking in french but does NOT speak well Italian. Apart this the service was pleasant.More
Food would be good, but hygienic catastrophe : they put the Rucola salad from the plastic bag directly in the pizza & in my pasta, which would have tasted well, Three was a HUGE CATERPILLA IN ITS COCON! The waiter took it away with a...small "sorry" & we had to pay this plate I did not continue to eat! Also my partner had just 2 small glasses of wine & they charged 1/2 bottle!! The wont see us again!More
had a quick dinner here. Pizza was just OK and on the expensive side. Ordered the vegetarian platter as main (good that they have the option to do so) - it was generous and came with warm bread and butter, but the green salad was...tired and the mozzarella - totally tasteless. So OK (and some veggies, such as the eggplant and the zucchini, quite good), but overall not remarkable. A good terrace.More
We often end up going to this restaurant. Last time we had dinner with a small group and received great service and a free grappa or limocello.
Nesh, great guy recommended the wine and split the carpaccio as an appetiser and the pizzas were terrific. I don't know why I see people having bad service on the reviews. We had an enjoyable evening with wood oven pizza. Only reason I don't give...it a 5 is no table clothes. CheersMore
I have visited La Riviera on various occasions with family and for work. Service is always warm, the food arrives quickly and the variety of the meals keeps me interested. They cater for lactose free/vegan and vegetarian diets. Our favourites from their special menu include...the pizza Don Giovanni with smoked mozzarella, the Ortolana - 3 veg on a pizza and the salmon pasta. Extra bonus - It is also amongst the few child-friendly places in the area.More
Nice and quiet inner garden with trees, great ambiance. But that's about it as regards positives. The overall impression was weird, to say the least. The restaurant pretends to be something else than it is: staff speaking here and there Italian but most likely originating...from a very different country. Staff imitating the caring attitude, but in reality letting guests often feel abandoned for long periods. Putting on the menu chic and expensive entries while serving a cheap and crappy alternative instead (to be fair, I don't speak about pizza, which according to a colleague was rather good). I don't return to places where I feel being cheated.More
positive: - internal terrace, so when you want to sit outside, there are no cars next to you - good main dishes (gnocchi were actually delicious) negative: - relatively expensive compared to nearby restaurants - bottles of wine are so expensive that we decided to...go for a pichet. Rosé was horrible (and I am not particularly picky about rosés). - tiramisú was suspicious (as if half of the mascarpone was replaced by something cheap) - my friends ordered cognac. They found it weird and questioned whether this was really cognac. The waiter told us plenty of stories (such as this is calvado-cognac, that's better than cognac) but in the end, to show us that he didn't given them crap, he brought the bottle. It was calvados. He ran out of cognac in the morning, so he brought calvados. Are you kidding me?More
This is a small family run restaurant close to the centre of Europe, Schumann Platz.... The cuisine is basic Italian, but at a sensible price compared to the over priced offerings fuelled by European staff expense accounts locally in this area. A lovely secluded patio...area at the back of the restaurant in the summer. The owner is lovely, a nice change from some of the (frankly) rude waiters at other local Italian restaurants. As an expat...a relative regular.More
A great pizza, but wish it was a English menu. The price is a little high as well. Was there 2 days in a row. Tried both pizza and calzone, both good.
Serving a broad range of Italian dishes - sometimes adapted a bit to Belgian/international tastes - La Riviera offers the great combination of good food and friendly service. In good weather, it's nice to sit outside in the patio garden, although on hot days it's...best to avoid a table in the direct sun. On my latest visit to La Riviera, my co-diner and I enjoyed a tasty lunch of Pizza Marinera and grilled beef served with tagliatelle.More
They have a variety of good quality food. In addition to the typical pizza and pasta, this place also offers salads and soups. The outside seating in the back of the restaurants is one of my favorites on a sunny day. Great service, wonderful staff.
