Came here for a business lunch and was very pleased. They had both a la carte and set menu options. Set menu was 41 euro I think for two courses. I had a chicken terrine to begin which was fine. The pheasant main was delicious...though somehow the eggplant garnish was very bitter. The macaroons at the end were great. Service was very professional and friendly. I will definitely come back.More

During our trip to Brussels, we already reserved a month ahead to dine in this restaurant for our group of 13 people. Brighton confirmed our reservation but they didn’t mention that we needed to order in advanced because apparently, their kitchen cannot handle “a la...carte” orders for groups more than 10 people. When our orders came, everything was a mess. We explicitely asked the waiter to repeat our orders before giving them to the kitchen but of course, he refused. When we complained to the head waiter, Eric, he had the nerve to answer back to us, paying customers for a dinner worth €50 EACH. He mentioned that we should have ordered in advanced even if we reserved a month ahead. Instead of even saying sorry, he still blamed us for everything. So if you want to experience your money’s worth, don’t bother coming here. Because we will never come back.More

They have menu of the day with 2 or 3 courses (starters, main, desserts) 32 or 44 (or 46 , not certain). Menu of the day was good and the menu à la carte had all you would need. I took the stew of fish...and it was good ( I do no say this lightly) . I drank a Pouilly-fumé that was slightly young but good. I advise this restaurant. I put a rating of average because there is no in between average and very good in the trip advisor rating system. A rating good might be useful for trip advisor and surely is the rating for this restaurant.More

Very friendly staff with good wine recommendations to the red mullet. Food wasn't spectacular but the atmosphere and the service was very good.

The surrounding and the service are probably the most noticeable qualities of this restaurant. A great high end experience. The food is good without being outstanding. The wine selection is pretty solid and i would recommend it

The restaurant itself looks very classic and the waiters there also make you feel the elegance of that style. Food is tasty with a nice presentation. The macaroons that come at the end of the meal are very crispy, save some room for that.

We had dinner in the hotel restaurant on a Friday night and found an extensive and varied menu of what turned out to be complex and interesting fine dining dishes with some distinctly quirky aspects - e.g. a luminous pink red wine sauce around a...monkfish fillet and confit cherries with (beautifully cooked) sea bass. The wine list was extensive and priced as you would expect for a hotel close to the European Parliament. The maitre D' was attentive and helpful - e.g. checking our wine order as it as a slightly unusual light red with fish - but without being intrusive or patronising.More

The restaurant in located in a marvelous boutique hotel; the food is excellent, the service very friendly and considerate, it is a true experience. In summer, you can enjoy the lunch on a beautiful terrace under a beautiful blooming cypress and the dinners - in...the comfortable English salon. The ingredients are perfectly chosen, each main course is a delightful to the the taste buds, the combination of the flavours unveils secret sensations of satisfaction, that your brain was not aware until then.More

Brighton is the rather formal restaurant of the Stanhope hôtel, a fairly posh place near the European Institutions. The culinary inspiration is definitely French here, which left us wondering why the restaurant is called after the pretty English seaside town. During the summer, the inner...courtyard is a very pleasant green haven of quiet and peace, and lunch is served outside. This is actually the very best part of the arrangement - even though the 2 set lunch, a so called barbecue menu, is certainly not a bad deal, and the service, verging on the slow side, is courteous and professional. A starter to definitely avoid is a cold and bland soup, confusingly called gazpacho because it has nothing whatsoever to do with this brilliant invention of Andalucian cuisine. Nice winelist, though on the expensive side. Overall the lunch menu is a very nice treat on a sunny day.More

... surprizingly devoid of tomatoes and tasting only of cucumber is a challenging start to a 29 euro 2 course lunch. The grilled vegetables with (overcooked) tuna slices looked better. 'Tis clearly the season for pea sprouts because they were abundant - delicious but variety...is the spice of life - something the gazpacho certainly lacked. The main course was a choice of bream or beef/lamb/interesting-mini-pea-filled-sausages. Both were satisfactory - although one beef wasn't cooked nearly enough as ordered. The garden was pleasant, the service was professional (apart from a missing twist of the wine bottle) and we left reasonably satisfied.More

We had a very nice lunch a summer day: 3 courses, a bit of wine nicely served in back yard, where the temperature was just perfect! We went with a set menu, which we found really nice - pre-course, main course and dessert. The waiters...were good, but not quite able to respond to the needs at all tables I notice (to much to do it appeared).More
