We spent the night out in Confucius restaurant, excellent choice for a hot summer night in the city. The food was delicious, the atmosphere very romantic in the terrace and the service very competent. Would recommend this place.

I went there on a Monday evening with my family and even though it was armistry day(a national holiday) we booked a table for 4 and there was no wait at all. The service was very gentle and the food tasted very delicious. All the...dishes that we ordered, including a wan tan soup, noodles with chicken, special rice, and duck with bamboo were all great! I honestly can't find a single bad thing about this restaurant.More
After travelling for 2 weeks in Europe, we were craving for Asian food and managed to find Le Confucius a short walk away from the hotel. Thoroughly enjoyed the soup, shrimp and calamari with vegetables as well as the spicy chilli peppers we asked for!
Had chicken with nuts, scampi garlic and beef rice. The menu is large and the food reflect the mainstream European Chinese food which in taste have nothing to do with Chinese food. Brussels has a lot of very good restaurants however Confusions was very disappointing....Not a place I will visit again. Positive was the friendly service.More
We are staying at the Sofitel nearby and were looking for a restaurant for a late night dinner tonight. We were heading to a Korean restaurant near the hotel but walked past this restaurant, looked in, and saw that it had a nice decor, clean...and was busy at 9:30pm. So, we came here instead of the Korean place next door. The place is very clean and has a nice clean look. The owners are very friendly and service was prompt and pleasant. They spoke Shanghainese - a dialect that my parents speak - so it made me feel right at home! We had soup to start - the sour and chill soup and wan tan soup - not bad. Then we had the spring rolls - they were made just like my mom used to make! It has been a long time since I had spring rolls like this. We all enjoyed them. The Cantonese fried rice was very good, as were the beef on a hot plate and tofu with vegetables. It may not be the best Chinese food we have ever had but it sure was pretty good and when you are in Brussels looking for Chinese food, I would consider this to be one of the better places we have dined at. I would definitely recommend it. Good food, friendly service and clean - a good combo!More
First I am Asian. I was travelling for over 10 days already and I needed a taste of home, meaning rice. We stayed in Sofitel and they recommended Confuscius. We ordered a lot as we missed a taste of home. When we tasted the food,...it just never hit the spot. It was ok but it didn't taste anything like what we're used to. Food looked similar but the taste was just off and quite expensive also. At best, I would say it is trying to be a Chinese restaurant but very far from the real deal.More
Lunchtime in September. Extensive menu with a wide choice. English translation on main menu but not on the set meal menu. Ordered chilli and sour soup to start but wonton soup came. Disappointed as when order taken it wasn’t written down so not a surprise...that it was incorrect. Food was good and prices reasonable. Would probably try it again.More
After seeing the high ratings on TripAdvisor, we decided to try this place. It came as a breath of fresh air... The food is great, the staff is friendly, and the ambiance is great! With its contemporary styling, it is not the stereotypical Chinese restaurant.
Very nice place ! The food is excellent and the owners are very kind. We had great moment here. We will Come back very soon.
Absolutely love this restaurant. We had a big family meal there and everything was perfect - the food and service was impeccable and the atmosphere is great. We shared many dishes and they were all delicious. Highly recommended.
I am pretty much surprised with all these great reviews. As a matter of fact, if you have spent your entire life in the surroundings of Avenue Louise, never been to China, then maybe you will like it, since the deco and interiors are nice....However as for food, there are no surprises. It is my third time, and the last time. The dishes I tried were blunt and flavourless, maybe over-adjusted to the European taste. There are better, more authentic places in Bxl!More
We were in a group of 11. They suggested us a rice table with 6 differents dishes. The taste was good but we did not find it sufficient, some of us were still hungry. We mentioned it and she actually did not want to bring...a new plate unless we paid for a surplus. Then after a discussion she agreed to bring plates for 3 people but I do not know if they had to pay for it additionally. Personally I do not like it when they suggested you to take a certain menu, now I feel pushed towards it. The food tastes good so no complains about that.More
I decided to try this restaurant, it's open only for dinner. I didn't expect I could find a good chinese food in Brussels, but this one is the best I ever had in Brussels. The food was very good and the price is reasonable. It's...worth.More
I was so surprised to discover this Chinese restaurant already established here for 50 years ! The food was really excellent and fresh. The dishes were varied. There are plenty of Asian restaurants in Brussels, but Confucius has something special : the boss is a...very nice, cool and smiling woman; the set-up is simple, wide and luminous. And that makes you feel comfortable. Moreover the prices are reasonnable !More
Location is calm and service is friendly and quick. Food is good but nothing special. The prices are reasonable...
