Disappointing Sunday evening dinner. Unfriendly service and very mediocre food. It's a shame, because the place has been very nicely done up. It's not too long since the restaurant has reopened so maybe things will improve.

A relatively short list of dishes, all well prepared and nicely presented. The fish is perfectly cooked; the chicken is tasty and crispy. The tarte tatin was not to sweet. And, for a change, you have enough space not to be forced to follow the...conversation at the table next to you.More

We had been waiting impatiently for the re-opening of this newly refurbished restaurant in our neighbourhood. While the refurbishment itself is a big success, our Saturday lunch experience a few days following the re-opening was disappointing. We were two adults and three children and ordered...a burger, a steak, filet americain (all with fries), a children's portion of pasta with ham and cheese, and a goat's cheese and spinach salad. We waited a good hour before our food was served and the restaurant was not even full. The only positive thing to say about that is that our waitress was friendly and kind and did try to move things along. The most tasty of our dishes was the goat's cheese salad, the fries were mediocre at best (which is quite sad in Belgium) and all three meat dishes had a strange after taste. The ham and cheese pasta dish did not even have a sauce: it was plain pasta with a slice of ham ripped into pieces on top of it. And we had to asked for the cheese, which came yet another 5 minutes later and turned out to be floppy pre-grated Emmental. I can only hope that they manage to sort their kitchen out, cause it's a real shame that this lovely place should be ruined by a lousy menu / kitchen.More

Typical Belgian Brasserie in a very nice decor. Service is great, professional yet friendly. Ideal place for lunch or dinner in this south of Brussels neighbourhood.

We often go to Jaco’s when we visit the hairdresser down the road, and go shopping in the local Delhaize. We probably should do a lovely extended lunch – but we tend to eat in the evening (nothing stopping us there either I guess). It...is a very friendly and attractive restaurant serving a wide variety of food. Lately we have been trying the fish soup and last time I had the nems (spring rolls). The portions are pretty large – since we only ever have a starter, I can’t imagine eating that and a main course!More

It's all "vacuum food" meaning they don't cook anything in the restaurant. The service in non existent and it is very very expansive. You have been warned.

Jaco's has continuous service, so it is also good for a late lunch or early dinner. We have never been disappointed with its reliable cuisine and service. Lovely sole, veal, pasta, you name it. And wines to match. At reasonable prices. We've been regulars for...yearsMore
