Food bad. Butter rancid. Small plastic bottles of water are 5 euros a piece. We didn’t make it to the end of the prix fixe.

They have a very nice service, friendly and trying to give their best. However, the food is BAD, my husband ordered the 18e menu and he asked for oysters, his surprise: they don't wash them properly, they had sand and stones, they couldn't been eaten...:( and later the dessert was a chocolate mousse, with whipped cream and a BEAUTIFUL BLACK HAIR awwwwww! And after all, the check was a joke, one menu 18e, the other 12e, one 25cl coke for 3,50e and a 25cl beer (hoegaarden) 5.50e... I buy that beer in a very nice bar in Bruges for 2.50e What a scam!!!More

The staff was friendly and helpful. The fixed menu offered a 3-course meal for the very reasonable price of 12E.The starter fish-soup was very tasty, the mussels I chose for main dish were decent, plentiful and came with a side of fries, and the waffles...dessert was good but nothing special. I'd deffinitely recommend it for the traveler who doesn't want to spend too much.More

Advantages: extremely nice and pleasant personnel. Good food (a la carte). It was really good beef stewed in belgian beer (local dish). Very tasy, very soft beef, really nice! Relaxed atmosphere. Good wine. Disadvantages: high prices (common in Brussels for dinner), even with nice atmosphere,...some couches smell old, so we changed the table and took one next to the window. If you are not ready to leave at least 50 euros (per 2 persons), it is not your place for dinner. Tip: Belgian dishes are around 20 euros. The main menu -25-37 approximately per plate.More

I strongly don't recommend to visit this place. We were a few days ago there. So we made an order according to the prices on the street board of this restaurant at the front door. But the cost of the food in the bill was...twice as high. For example, mussels on the street board at the front door are 12 euro, but in the bill - 23. The same situation was with the rest of the dishes- twice as expensive. After our questions about it waiters replied us that we have ordered from special menu -that was wrong! This restaurant is place of lies and unprofessionalism. There are a lots of different places in Brussels, stay away from this place!More

They had an incredible offer - half kilo of mussels, fries and glass of wine or beer for 10 euros, but the mussels itself were average, fries were dry, beer was alright. We had to wait our bill quite long. And street sales men was...quite annoying as well.More

Sometimes you will wait for waiter. Is not the case at Le Jardin d Illot Sacre. The waiter can solve the problems if you want. So, you will have great service from waiter, but he cannot compensate everytime the quality of food....

This restaurant on very attractive location is ordinary tourist trap. It is not a place for gourmands or for a fast meal. They have colorful posters all around - and prices on posters are attractive. Food is average and waiters didn't visit school for kindness....Read all the judgments before your visit. I didn't and it was a mistakeMore

Worst dining experience in my entire life! Firstly, we got lured in to the restaurant by annoying salesmen's lying about 'any' free drinks for each customer, including a glass of wine and cocktail that we asked for. After we had been seated they served us...an alcoholic beverage without giving us a choice, and moreover they didn't even serve cocktails on their menu! We then asked the waiter what seafood was included in the paella, which the response was 'every seafood' as we'd expect from pictures - when it arrived the paella only consisted of mussels and prawn thus they had false advertised again! We complained about this and they bought out dried calamari on the side that tasted like dog food to make up for the missing seafood. When I tried to get the attention of the waiters, they constantly avoided eye contact with us knowing that we were angry and wanted to complain, and even worst when I finally got the attention of the manager he shouted back at me to 'WAIT!'. In conclusion, food was disgusting and expensive, and it was the WORST customer service ever! DO NOT VISIT!.More

We chose the 12,50 euros menu which includes bread and butter, appetisers, the main dishes, desserts and a glass of wine, everything were really tasty. This restaurant is perfect for those who want to taste Bruxelles' traditional dishes: the main dish consisted in moules et...frites and the dessert was a gauffres. We ate inside and the local was clean and welcoming, our table with a candle in the middle, was just in front of the fireplace and it created a warmer atmosphere. We found the coffee too expensive: 4,50 euros for an espresso. However if you want to eat good in a friendly restaurant in Bruxelles, we suggest this amazing local close to the grand place.More
