Stopped off here for food couldn’t read the menu as it was foreign but the Waiter explained to us what we could have which was kind as he didn’t have English menus. It’s a very rustic traditional place the food was nice. I did see...a dog in there if you have pets. Great food.More

If we had not been with friends from Brussels who were friends of the owner I doubt that we would have found this restaurant. We entered down a side alley and found ourselves in a charming courtyard. The owner greeted us as soon as we...arrived. You could tell that the majority of the patrons were locals. I had the cod and my wife had the salmon with tomato sauce both outstanding. This is a must if you are looking for a place where the tourist do not go.More

My friend lives near this family owned restaurant which was a stroke of good luck for me as I was able to have Belgian food at its best. Location may be a bit out off the tourist route so it is best to call first...before you turn up. Jovial friendly owner and staff, a restaurant with character and family atmosphere and a favourite with the locals. I had duck for main, escargot cooked the Belgian way but no dessert. Service was fast and impeccable. Price is medium according to my Brussels friend.More

I was there in the fall of 2014 and loved the restaurant so much I ate there a number of times during my 10 day stay. The food was always GREAT and the quality of the food was superb. Much laughter and comraderie thruout the...restaurant, not only the customers but the staff too. Nice to see. I would recommend this one to all of my friends.More

just came back from the restaurant after being rejected. the person that received me at the door did not speak English and just said "n'est pas possible" without a smile or further explanation. It took me 25 minutes transportation to specially go to this restaurant...and now am eating a pita in the restaurant next door, not a very nice ending. so I rate this with a 1 star.More

We decided to skip the centre or obvious choices to look for a restaurant in the area and fell for the funny name (my nutcase of a husband) and good critiques of course. With the good weather everybody sat on the terrace in the back,...amidst nice flowers and plants. The cuisine is the good traditional Belgian cuisine, the service is good and relaxed. Everything makes you at ease instantly. The mussels were good. Next time we want to try smth else. Service is in French and Dutch, and - although we haven't tried it - I'm sure in English as well, since one usually follows the other. Again out of the center, relaxed people (but swift service), a very pleasant surprise!More

Have eaten here on several occasions. This time, I chose from the blackboard which offered three or four different plates for each course, in addition to the standard menu. The meal began with an excellent duck rilletes while we waited for our first course, which...was croqettes with smoked eel and foie gras ........... I have eaten this combination before as a terrine, but never as croquettes and it was delicious. This was followed by a wild boar stew which was copious, and served in a dark rich wines sauce with mushrooms, shallots and bacon. A perfectly prepared classic dish which was welcome given the snowy weather. Sadly, we did not have time for desserts. The meal was accompanied by a great prize winning Saint Emilion (2009) from a lesser known chateau which was most enjoyable. Great service provided by the owner and his colleague who made us feel very much at home. Strongly recommended.More
