Friendly service in the downstairs shop - queues for the tea shop meant that we only bought nicely presented souvenirs from the shop.

Just to note - the tea room does not open until 11am so we had to wait a bit before going back to sit down and order. Our waitress was not too friendly and did not really act like she wanted to be there. We ordered a cappuccino, speculoos milkshae and leige waffles with cherries and ice cream for me... More

I love this place. Amazing service and great waffles!!! Both liege and Belgium styles are delicious. They're not drench in sauce like many other ones. They will put the sauce or toppings on the side for you. The texture of both waffles is perfect and it's not overly sweet. Go to this place!!!

Come here for the waffles. Everything else will disappoint, including the decor. As Americans, we like our so-called "Belgian waffles" crispy and light on the outside and chewy on the inside. Well, there's no such thing as a "Belgian waffle" - its an American invention that combines the 2 types of waffles in Belgium: the Leige waffle (light and crisp)... More

We asked a souvenir shop lady where a good place was to get Belgian waffles and followed her directions. We spotted places along the way selling waffles for only 1 Euro, with about 80 cents extra for each topping, but found out when we got to the restaurant, Maison Dandoy, that theirs were 4.50 to 7 Euros, but we liked... I just had an ice cream the girl serving it just wanted to get rid of me and the marzipan flavour was awful, I threw it into the trash. The speculoos flavour was OK. Won't be coming again.

We went specifically to this place for waffles, but as others have said, were underwhelmed with what we got. High prices, very good, but not excellent waffles. I am sure there are other better places. Lots of places give Euro 1 waffles all over the city.
