It is a nice location, but that's about it. We came to celebrate a birthday, however, no special requests had been acted upon. The staff was rude and unwelcoming. Worst of all we had to send half our food back, as it was simply unedible....The food we had left was basic, to say the least. We left very disappointed and hungry. Don't go!More

We turned up on the off chance that there was space for us to eat after having played on the pedalos. The staff, who were run off their feet, were very accommodating and helpful and found a table for us with minimum fuss despite the...fact that they were clearly almost at capacity with group bookings. The food was excellent (3 x moules and the Robinson Burger) and came promptly. Definitely look forward to going again. Beautiful place, lovely atmosphere! We recommend it (2 children with us -7&12)More

I went before Christmas with family and many friends. The environment is warm to make us feel at home and enjoy the stay together. So much variety of food and all is fresh and high quality. I praise the chef that is so good at...serving delicious food in so much quantity and velocity. I am so surprise that the overall reviews are below the average of 4. This spot deserve something close to 5 in my opinion and the ones of my friends.More

Secluded island lunch in the middle of Bois de Cambre park. Relaxing music, beautiful ambience and lots of nature light (windows to lake and forest). Delicious lunch of vegetable lasagna, hearty hamburger and sweet potato. Yummy. Love this place.

My partner and I were very much looking forward to our brunch at Chalet Robinson. We recently had a child and, as is normal with newborns, they make restaurant visits rather difficult in their first few weeks. However, we finally got to a point where...we thought we could take her and selected Chalet Robinson specifically for its outside seating. This was to be our first brunch since her birth, a little celebration. Chalet Robinson is based on an island in the lake of the Bois de la Cambre. To get there, you need to use small ferry boats that run along guiding wires to the island, across about 30m of water. When we arrived, we saw that staff of the island was moving pedal boats, which are for rent at the chalet, to the edge of the lake, where we we waiting for the ferry. This was a bit unusual but we figured that maybe they were using it as a new mooring spot for their rental business. As the time came to cross, one Chalet Robinson staffer announced that, unfortunately, the ferry was broken today and therefore all guests had to cross on pedal boats. ON PEDAL BOATS! Now it should be clear that I was not about to try to load my 2-months-old (or the pram) on a pedal boat, which is a wobbly contraption during the boarding process, even for adults. So my partner and I stood at the pier, looking askance at the conveyance method offered. The groundkeepers, sous-chefs and waiters, and whoever else management had conscripted into this mini-Dunkirk studiously avoided our eyes, clearly aware that there was nothing they could offer us to have us cross safely. No staff talked to us either as they organised the crossing for the other, more mobile guests. After two minutes, my partner and I turned around in disgust and left the scene. The whole experience was deeply disappointing . Anybody who is planning a breakfast, lunch, brunch or dinner for a group of people that may include those with limited mobility should consider whether they want to run the risk of seeing their plans invalidated on the spot due to the poor management of the Chalet. I personally feel disgusted by the experience and by how we were treated (or rather not at all) on the spot. For those who want to have a good brunch in Brussels in venues accessible TO ALL, I would warmly recommend: - Oma, Rue Jourdan 129, 1060 Saint-Gilles - Chicago Cafe, Rue de Flandre, 1000 Bruxelles - Woodpecker, Quai au Bois à Brûler 27, 1000 Bruxelles Chalet Robinson is a disgrace.More

The place is just amazing. We arrived at 19:30, sunset time, it was really nice. The food was also really good but the service was terrible. We asked for the water 2 times and they didn’t bring it. We waited 50 minutes after the appetizer...to be served, the restaurant wasn’t even full. I would go for a 6 out of 10 as final mark for our experience there.More

We've been to this restaurant several times in multiple occasions with friends or families. Each time we were there not for the food and we still managed to have a good time... The location itself is quite unique and brings a lot of charm to...the restaurant especially when the weather is good. However, there is no words to comment the food there. I think they should change the entire cooking team and even their local suppliers. Nothing was good, even some simple dishes such as an omelette or carpaccio de boeuf were disastrous. The culinary level was very basic, meat are often over-cooked and dishes are lack of savour and clearly not made from fine / fresh food. For what we were eating, the bill was unjustified. But it could still be nice if you visit bois de la cambre and just want to have a short stop at somewhere nice.More

Wonderful location, the rest nothing special. The food was not amazing compared to the price. The service pretty poor. I give 3 stars for the location and the atmosphere.

After a wonderful afternoon spent in the Bois, we decided to have dinner in Chalet Robinson. On arrival at 18.15, we were told no tables for dinner were possible and we would have to sit outside. It was warm in the day but being April...we knew it was a risk in the evening. The waiter gave us blankets. The first part of the dinner was fine. Then it became quite cold and the service was extremely bad. We were completely ignored outside and the restaurant inside remained half empty even at 21.30 when we had been told it was completely reserved. We had wanted dessert and digestif but after waiting for the order more than 30 mins we cancelled it and left. Such a shame for a well loved place in Brussels.More

Pros: Lovely brunch, beautiful location and delicious variety of food and friendly staff. The tables were well organised and not crowded. Cons: What made me uncomfortable was when I used the restrooms downstairs I saw no one in the kitchen downstairs was wearing a mask....Also the buffet lunch could have been better coordinated, as some customers were not wearing their masks correctly or disinfecting their hands.More

The had it all...then they ruined it. Great place, same fantastic location on the little island same great menu, simple, tasty and quick. But they have decided to treat people like robots. You have to order and pay everything on your phone and you end...up spending a significant amount of time on the little screen. Every drink you want, you have to surf the web, introduce your name, email, bank account details....interaction with staff is therefore limited, you don’t really feel welcome anymore it’s more like an uber eat at home experience. A real shame and wrong choice in my opinionMore

We must've walked around the lake three times while waiting for the boat to leave the island... no bad thing, and we certainly worked up an appetite!!! The food was good, the service great, and the experience memorable.

This restaurant is in a privileged area on an island in a very treed park. You must pay one euro to access to it on a boat. The quality is very good but everyone thought the portions were a little fare. We also thought the...service could have been faster, but they were very kind. As a suggestion asking if the client wants the coffee before o later the desserts would be recommended. We supposed that as one of them took several minutes in being ready they served them before. Highly recommended.More
