Visited one evening around 8pm and had a short 5 minute wait for a table for 5 of us. Between us we chose chicken enchilladas, pulled chicken Mexicana, beef fajitas, chorizo (starter) and cheese stuffed jalapenos (starter). Firstly I would say only order starters if you have a hearty appetite, the portion sizes are like a main dish and it took 5 of us to eat them both along with our main choices. The fajitas were as anticipated and there was plenty of strips of beef. The chicken Mexicana was very tasty though the chicken did taste like it had been pre-cooked and was rather chewy. The spices in both dishes was manageble. The enchiladas were not as we've had before, small pieces of tortilla wrapped around chicken, no other ingredients in the enchiladas which were covered in a green sauce which I assume was blended jalapenos. The spiciness of this dish was very high and I like spicy food. It was overwhelming to me and I wouldn't choose this dish again. The chorizo sausages were like little cocktail sausages and there were ample of them served with a tortilla, very tasty. The staff were friendly and the music soundtrack of cover songs with a Mexican twist was very entertaining. Along with 5 alcoholic drinks I think our bill was approximately £27 per person with a 10% tip. A lovely restaurant, just watch how much you order.

Mexican fare that hits the spot...and Mariachi-style rock music?

Brussels has a rather good restaurant scene but looking for a place to have dinner recently, I certainly wasn't expecting to come across a Mexican restaurant. Being a solo diner, I was asked if I minded taking a seat in the small upstairs dining area as the main dining area was quite full. The first things that struck me were the very colourful tiles on the walls of the restaurant, as well as the mariachi-style rock tunes being played. Both set the atmosphere nicely before the food arrived. I chose the pulled pork with rice, beans and salad as my main, to be washed down by a bottle of Desperados beer (sounds Mexican but manufactured in Belgium no less) - very tasty all round. The restaurant did not serve desserts but no matter as mains portions looked very large initially but were quite manageable (or maybe I had been pretty hungry). A good place to come as a small group next time!

Cute, delicious, wonderful service.

The cutest little Mexican restaurant in a very hip and cute street. The food was so flavorful and hit the spot for the classic flavors you want. Drink selection was great and the service was excellent. We called about 30 min before we wanted to arrive (found Rositas suddenly on the map) and they were able to accommodate us without a reservation.

Not authentic food - try another restaurant

We went here on a Saturday evening, got a table really quick and asked for recommendations - we tried the taco babacoa and the chicken tacos. It was just a taco stuffed with massive meat - no nice taste. I don’t understand how people rate this so high?! The stuff was very nice and the service really quick. I can’t recommend the food we have, maybe come for drinks but not for food…

Disgusting main course

Let me first start by saying the cocktails and nachos were good (which is why I gave 2 stars insteadof 1), but unfortunately service was lacking and rude and the main course was near inedible. My gf had a fajita and I had an enchillada both had different types of meat. Both were so dry it was just awful to eat any of the 2 dishes.

Great food and ambiance!!

Beautiful place and great ambiance, it's a very Latin and Mexican vibe. I loved the food and cocktails, they were so tasty and the portion is very very generous. The tacos and sweet potato fries were good. Same for enchiladas and nachos. I advice you to try the Mexican soda jarrito, they have different flavors and the Pina colada.

Good service and margaritas

I almost didn’t book here because of the mixed reviews but I’m glad we did! Service was great - my boyfriend likes hot sauces and the server brought over a range of different ones to try including a homemade one. Nacho and burritos were really big. Good veggie options. Although quesadillas needed something extra. Margaritas were amazing!!!!! (a little pricey though) Would come again ☺️

Lovely little restaurant

Great little restaurant, very authentic with beautiful decor. My daughter and I ordered chilli con todo nachos and chicken empanadas to share. Food was delicious but there must have been only one tablespoon of beef chilli in the nachos which was very disappointing for €17. Drinks were good and the staff were ok. I’m sure there must be a better Mexican in Brussels to try.

Not delicious, staff great

There was just too much vinegar on the salad or some other dressing. The meat was just too overcooked. I am sorry for the staff, they are good people. I saw they were sad that we didnt enjoy our food. So I would say staff is great and i think some people do enjoy the food, but our group wasnt happy at all.

My boyfriend and I decided to eat here after we read some reviews online. Firstly we waited 30 mins before anyone took our order. Then when our food came it was absolutely disgusting. The enchiladas were inedible as we’re the chips and ribs. We were extremely dissapointed with the service. Wouldn’t recommend!!

Dear Erin We understand your disappointment and your “awful” experience at Rositas Cantina, and we are terrible sorry that we couldn’t meet your standards, although we sell a lots of Enchilladas and ribs ( and people love it!!!) What left us speechless about your review is the fact that I offered you a refund or free meel at Rositas as a sign of our efforts towards you, but you declined my offer, and still go and publish your experience at Rositas! I dont find it fair from your side, and I think that you writing such a review after our chat, is nothing else but a coward act!! Great food in the centre of town

I dropped in here on Saturday evening and even though the restaurant was busy they managed to find me a table. The waiter guided me through the listen free options and even recommended a great gluten-free beer. Great food, great service. I will definitely be back.

Really Nice Staff, Tasty Mexican Food

As Americans living and traveling in Europe we try to keep our expectations for Mexican food pretty low because nine times out of ten it's just not going to compare to what we are used to. BUT that doesn't mean the food can't still be good at the right place. And this was one of those places. My husband and I shared the nachos and jalapeño poppers, plus chips and salsa rosso. It was all very good. We left feeling satiated. The margaritas were okay, but we did for some reason get offered a tequila shot before we left. So that was a nice touch! The staff were also very friendly despite it being busy. We definitely recommend this place if you have a hankering for Mexican food.

Colorful Vibes, Good Dinner

We came here for dinner and drinks and enjoyed our visit. The food was pretty good, but the rice wasn’t as flavorful as Mexican rice should traditionally be. The vibe of the restaurant is very colorful and fun. Definitely a good stop for cuisine other than French or Belgian in Brussels.

Really dissapointing, quality like worse than Taco Bell. Souces right from market shelfs just like quacamole, tacos also broken because of the serving system, but even if, the taste was terrible. I hope I hasn’t trust this review number.

Great food and ambience!

Lively Mexican restaurant in the centre of Brussels. Second time we've eaten here, and it was just as good as the first. Very nice menu of Mexican dishs, including vegetarian and vegan options. We had jalapeño poppers and calamari to start, both very generous portions. For mains we both had fajitas, served sizzling hot and delicious. Our servers were friendly but efficient and the ambience is great. We were given two complimentary tequilas when we paid the bill. We'll definitely be back for a third time!
