I have been a client now for more than twenty years. The owners are a friendly old couple but their waiters are horrible. They are grumpy and are not service minded at all. The occasional good guy or woman only lasts a certain time after which they draw their conclusion and leave this wasps nest. Why is the terrace always... More

I have been to this place several times when in Brussels and have generally been satisfied (there reason for returning). I recently went there for lunch on a Wednesday. I had a great meal of traditional Belgian cuisine for a great price. I love the atmosphere of local habitués. Service is good.

Just finished dinners there. Food is ok but be careful the waiter short change you. I am pretty sure that was no accident.

The location of the restaurant which is at the corner of the GLBT centre was good. The large open dining area is perfect to be sitting outside to enjoy the weather and just people watching. However, too many people were smoking. It would be a nightmare for passive smokers. This is a place where you can order local food. Please... More

Very traditional in appearance. Would slot right into WW2 movie. However, it's great. 👍 A lunch Plat du jour - sliced pork with the obligatory small beer. Straightforward no fuss food n service. Food arrived promptly and was tasty. Thanks for a local experience.

I chose pasta with chicken and parmesan cheese and got the most dry and boring pasta I have ever encountered. It tasted like something you found in the freezer. I would not go here again even though the place was full and there might be other dished that are better.

We were stuck in Brussels on a grey rainy day looking for somewhere to have lunch when we stumbled upon this bistro restaurant. We did not have high expectations. We were simply glad to find somewhere with a menu that suited us. After being used to 'chain restaurant' eating in the UK this was a lovely antidote. The decor had... More

We waited almost 30 minutes before having our order taken, to the point we were about to leave. We witnessed many other tables also waiting for orders and to pay. Once order was taken, food arrived without delay. It was nothing special. Waiters seemed stressed, impatient and one was clearly having arguments with other members of staff. It wasn't even... More

This is one wonderful restaurant just off Grand Place , it's in an area packed with good restaurant's,pub's and bar's. We had just been to CAFÉ LOMBARD a superb beer bar and crossed the road to enjoy a nice beer sitting outside this very pleasant restaurant. The restaurant itself is really nice inside plenty of comfortable seating and table's and... More

We rented an apartment above the restaurant, so we got to know the waiters and kitchen aides... Good typical Brussels local cafe. Orders off the blackboard are very good. A great fun place for people watching with the bars of Rue des Chardons across the street. Fun contrast of a neighborhood cafe and the nearby lively bar scene. Great location... More
