Located alongside a strip of lots of different fish and seafood restaurants by one of the most beautiful public places I've seen so far in Brussels, L'Huitriere caught our eyes in an instant due to their obviously sympathetic and friendly staff, as well as their cozy outdoor table setting. After we were seated, the waitress instantly understood that it'd be... More

On the 'canal' in St. Catherine district - sidewalk dining in this quaint area, popular with locals - superb presentation, quality. Thoroughly enjoyed!

From the off, I knew this one would be promising. Having checked out the restaurants in St Catherine early afternoon - and being greeted with a smiling "bonjour!" from (I presume) the head waiter or family member, and liking the menu, I put this one down on my mental list as an option for the evening (Sunday). And return I... More

Menu is great if you like fish and shellfish. There is a steak option on the main course but everything else is fish or shellfish. Speciality is oysters and you can see the live lobsters in the tanks. Service was unhurried - almost slow -but wasn't a problem as we had met up with friends and lots to talk about.

Great place for indoor or terrace dining - service was attentive, seafood fresh and delicious. Mussels were wonderful. Very nice wine list. Outdoor seating was very comfortable. Will stop again on my next trip to Brussels.

Went there just before 3pm and were fortunate to be able to have the set lunch. The 4 options included oysters and the Belgian specialty herrings, while the four options for the main included mussels and a seafood platter. Desserts included cheese as well as ice cream. The menu changes weekly. It was an excellent meal in nice surroundings and... More

Lunch at 15.90! Good selection. Add 5 euro for lobster. Welcoming hostess. Eat at terrass. Selection of seafood. A bit expensive for wine but sells wine by the glass

Located in an area with dozens of good local, not touristic seafood restaurants, this was a good find. Sat outside, which on a chilly night in July was helped by the external heaters. Very nice menu, good service and great food. Made me glad to be back in Europe!

The concierge of the Hilton Hotel highly recommended this restaurant and whilst we enjoyed the food and wine, we have to say that the experience with the lady server/owner/manager had put a sour taste to an otherwise enjoyable evening. Firstly we did not feel welcomed when we arrived 20mins earlier than our reservation on a Saturday night. Then she sent... More

Since 1934 the restaurant is well knowned for its seafood and wine menu. L' Huitriere has changed ownership since 04/2014 and the new owner is remodelling refurnishing the restaurant.
