Had lunch at Magic Rubens with my family today. The weather was great but that was about the only good part of the meal. I was served the worst quiche I think I have ever had and my daughter's cheeseburger came nearly blackened and without cheese. The fries - which are normally great in Belgium - were just OK. Our... Mum, Dad, 6YO and 7YO boys for dinner.... We stayed at the Novotel across the road (V.V.Good indeed) and ventured out to see the few sights of Brussels on an overnight stop off our way back to the UK. Restaurant looked busy and food looked OK. The wife and I ordered entrecote and peppercorn sauce with some salad to share.... More

It was OK. Pricey for the quality of food. Service was very polite and spoke English. Location and atmosphere was very nice and clean. Menu had lots of faded pictures made it kind of hard to tell what they were. Overall will most likely not return.

This restaurant is proposed the the tour program and they are not allow me to change so I have to accept it unless I pay for nothing. The food was poor. The food just eat for living. This restaurant is good for location that is easy to be meeting point for the big tour group. If you want something better... More

Service distinctly average, but considerably better than the food, which was really awful. We ordered steak medium-rare and a croque monsieur - what we received was a steak cooked like shoe leather, with dry over-boiled vegetables, and a cheese and ham toastie made with those cheese slices you buy from the supermarket. Go to any restaurant except this one...

Surprised to see bad reviews of this place. I had very attentive service and the food was very good. I had lunch at 2:00 so maybe this is a good time to go when it's not so busy.

Beyond the location - sadly this restaurant lacks service, friendly staff and good food. I cannot recommend it in any way. No disrespect - just incredibly poor in almost every way except location.

Just a standard restaurant in the middle of the city in brussels. They serve standard pizza, fish n chips. The area we were sitting was smelling, probably because it was near the toilet.

It would seem the staff here feel they are doing you a favour letting you into their smoking den as they grouch by the doors puffing away. They would be doing a better job by locking the doors so the public can't get in. Croque monsieur made with mouldy bread, past its best ham and absolutely vile processed cheese at... More

We know that it wasn't the best food in the world but we were so hungry, that we were grateful when our dishes came so fast (probably just recooked from a bag). Big plus for a good beer!
