Perfect pork and taro claypot, just the answer to a cold Brussels night!

Even though I've lived in Brussels for over a year and have always shopped at Kam Yuen, which is right around the corner, I've never seen Beijingya. It's tucked away on a little side street, behind the huge sushi place, and had I not googled "where to find taro in Brussels" I would never have... read more

This is a good place to get good simple Chinese food. The assorted meats is good, my favourites are the ground pork and tofu, perfectly spicy, and the jellyfish/ham salad. The 'nem' vary in quality depending on the day. You'll have a good meal at an honest price, don't expect a gastronomic feast but it is honest and well cooked.... More

The food was really nothing special, below the average, but worse was the service, the waitress was extremely rude. never again

I love this place. Excellent chinese food! I've sampled several dishes that may sound a bit unusual but taste wonderful. The duck tongues are a great nibble to start on, richly flavoured with dark soy. The pork intestines were very fresh and delicately flavoured in a ginger broth. The assorted meat platter is pretty big, with pork ears, pork belly,... More

The atmosphere resembles the worker's party cantine:neon lights, wooden simple tables, no decoration. The food is up to these standards: good, simple, authentical Chinese food, large portions, small price. Peking duck has acceptable taste but is not crisp. If you want to fill your stomach: that's the place. If you are in romantic mood: stay away.

I had some soup and fried rice. All other clients were from China. Really authentic feeling and good food. I can recommend this restaurant if you like Chinese food. Prices are also good. Roasted duck is a speciality.

Have been a couple of times and found the place good in every respect : it's welcoming, service is efficient and courteous without pointless flourishes, food is tasty, especially the roasted specialities that include duck, pork, chicken and lard. They use those very Kai Choi and other cabbage varieties that are rarely used (because considered lowly) in European Asian restaurants,... More

While the name of the restaurant reminds you about Beijing, you can find the most authentic Cantonese food here, the best in the city centre of Brussels. If you enjoy roasted duck, roasted pork and BBQ pork, this is the place to be. Try also deep fried Tofu and some Chinese stewed beef and Chinese green vegetables here. Enjoy!

We really fancied Chinese food and they are very short on Chinese restaurants in the centre of Brussels (there's 2 but Xi Ju was more like a takeaway than a restaurant). As Brits we were expecting prawn crackers, sweet and sour, chowmein etc but none of these were on the menu and the menu was mainly in French. We managed... More
