This restaurants serves a good choice of delicious salads at reasonable prices.It is situated outside the touristic area of Brussels, yet at only ten minutes walking from the Grand Place. It is worth the detour. On a sunny day you can enjoy your meal on the terrace. The staff is friendly and helpful.

We wandered into this place and were encouraged by a very pleasant waitress. We shared tempura prawns with a spicy mayo for starters served hot and spicy. To follow my wife had a chicken caesar salad. Chicken was good but too much of the dish was lettuce. I had a veal chop - done to perfection and melted in the mouth, however, the vegetables were somewhat undercooked for my taste. For drinks we had Belgian draught beer followed by white wine - both very acceptable.

Came here for a team lunch. Unfortunately they were out of quite a few of their dishes - even the signature hamburger on a waffle. Really a disappointment. It also irks me that, as with most places in Belgium, you have to order bottled water. Added 30 euro to our bill. The Caesar salad I had was meh at best - the romaine they used was clearly bottom of the barrel ( and they even included the “nub” from the last of the bunch. Bleh! ) And who puts corn in a Caesar salad anyway. It was one of the only restaurants open at this dead time in August. Won’t be coming back.

This bar/restaurant has a great location and a great patio with large umbrellas. It looked promising for dinner. We ordered beers and wine. White wine was delivered to the table, instead of red. No problem our server said. She replaced with red. We ordered our entrees, but with an order of truffle fries to start. Fries came with ketchup. No Parmesan, parsley, truffle oil as menu stated. Fries returned. Server said she forgot. Same fries later returned with just Parmesan on top. Fries now cold and Parmesan not melted. No truffle oil. We gave up. Salad with strawberries drowning in creamy, heavy white dressing. Tasteless except for two pieces of goat cheese on top, Second entree was octopus, which came hot, and was tasty, was a small portion. It took a long time to get our bill. We had to go into the restaurant to find our server. Fries were not removed from the bill. Not eaten and not what we ordered. Serving staff seemed to not care and service was slow.

Terrible service We arrived at 9 p.m., we were seated and asked to order quickly because the kitchens were going to close. So we take our order and after 1 hour of waiting still nothing served. Our waitress spent her time on her phone, there were only 4 tables in the entire restaurant. We ask what about our order ???? It was simply not transmitted to the kitchens and we were told that the kitchens had closed and that we would not be served anything. Total incompetence and appalling lack of professionalism You hadn't chosen the right profession, miss.

Being generally stingy with compliments I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the small restaurant on the terrace. Spinach omelet and avocado toast are delicious. I'll be back as soon as possible at the restaurant in the evening. And to top it all off, the service was very neat and the young waitress to little care.

We decided to give the bar next to our home a chance, despite never having seen many people there before. The initial impression was positive – a nice ambiance and friendly reception for us and our dog. The first drink was good, and the staff remained accommodating. However, our experience took a nosedive during the second round. After a prolonged wait for our drinks, the barmaid's incessant nail tapping on the neighboring table became unsettling. Subsequently, we were abruptly asked if we were almost done, despite the establishment's advertised closing time being later than our departure at 23:50 (we had our second drink for like 5 mins). SCAM! We went there to drink a gin and tonic with friends. We asked for the cheapest gin, that is to say the one for €7. After sipping our drinks we will pay at the bar! The waitress told us an amount of €42 for 3 gin and tonics! With all the good will in the world, I'm sorry but a gin and tonic for €14 is still inconceivable, especially when we had the cheapest on the menu. Very disappointed….

Unfortunately, once past 5 p.m., there is no way to eat anymore, just snacking. Too bad because lunch is generally very good. Furthermore, it would be high time to repair the toilets which went from three to two then to just one. When is the bucket???

NYE dinner. Booked months in advance. Expecting something special. The food was good, the service was abysmal. Not one person came near us. We had to ask for drinks and our main course. Staff need to attend to customers instead of standing together in a little group all night. So so disappointing.

Great location but the staff kinda forgot about me and my friends. We were not eating so we were placed in the lounge area and had to reminded them to take our orders and to then give another order. However, will go back when the weather is better (May/June) to sit outside and the overall coziness of the place!

Was there twice - once for drinks and once for early dinner. Both were excellent. My drink was beer which was cold and not expensive. Dinner was Flemish Stew, which I recommend that came with excellent slaw and french fries. Taste was wonderful, service was good, price was right.

We came across The Beat by chance and we were not disappointed. The price point for the quality was excellent. The staff are friendly and very welcoming. They specialise in waffle burgers, really tasty. They also have a nice selection of beers and a novel way for those who like hot chocolate.

Near a theater, at the end of it around 10:00 p.m., we want to have a drink. We arrive in front of the establishment, full. We go back to ask if the bar is open, we are answered in the affirmative but there is no room. Many tables outside, sheltered from the rain. We love this quirky place. The food is very good, service awesome, good selection of drinks, etc. You can sit inside or outside. I had the octopus and my wife the salad, me beer, she had a limoncello spritzer. She loved the place so much she went back another day when I was away.
