A friend recommended this restaurant. Interestingly, the day I went was the same day the Brussels Times had an article stating that this restaurant was the 5th best pizza restaurant in all of Europe.
Anyway, I highly recommend making a reservation. I made a reservation one week prior to visiting and even then there were only a few time-slots available for Saturday night. The restaurant is not very large - I counted maybe 14 to 16 tables total (and many are combined to accommodate larger groups), including the terrace outside.
As for the food, it's great. We ordered a caprese salad, a calzone, and a diavola pizza. I found the diavola to be not as spicy as others I've had and was just right. They have a few different types of primitivo wine. Loved the bottle we chose.
The Staff is friendly, although somewhat curt; I believe this is due to how busy they were - always running around, so I give them credit.
For the menu, you must use your smartphone to scan the QR code given to you at the table. I like this method, and I find it great during COVID times in particular.
Although I found the prices to be a little higher than they should (especially the pizzas), I'd say the restaurant is recommended overall. Try it at least once!

I had read that this pizzeria had been ranked #1 in Belgium and #5 in Europe (though I really don’t know who made the ranking and on what basis), so I thought it would be a great place to take a friend who was on holiday in Brussels. And we were both quite disappointed. First, because the place has expanded, but to a nearby space separate from the main one, lacking a kitchen. So the new space felt cold and detached, and the waiters kept coming back and forth through the side walk, bringing food from the main restaurant, creating a lot of confusion. The weather was sunny that day, but how do they do it when it’s pouring? Second, the pizza arrived relatively cold; not cold, but it was devoid of this “fresh out of the oven” feeling, and of course, we didn’t get to see the oven because we were seated in the adjacent space. We also had a mishap with the starters. And although the waiter responded immediately and courteously to this mishap, by offering to replace the dish or remove it from the bill, the arrival of the main course (our pizza) was quite late and we got it only after we inquired about it and saw other tables receiving theirs before us. The pizza was good, but not exceptional and I have definitely had other ones. So, all in all, honestly, I don’t see what all the buzz is about…They should have stayed small, as the expansion to a soul-less space nearby was definitely a bad idea…

We went there through recommendation, to eat at one of the best pizzerias in Brussels. Apparently Europe’s fifth best pizza! Although the owners and staff were Italian, the pizzaiolo must have been foreign. The pizza was far too watery and if you didn’t eat it fast enough, it all became one very soggy experience. We were not sure of the origin of the ingredients. Taste was acceptable but surely nothing special. Also, since it was Friday evening, we felt that the staff was just too eager to have us go. The desert was an ice cream in a pot like to get from the ice cream stand. And nothing special either. Altogether, not the best pizza experience.

My boyfriend and I walked by this place and eventhough it looked busy we decided to try to get a table. No table was available, but the waiter told us to come back in 10 minutes. When we came back excatly 10 minutes later another waiter had given “our” table to another couple. So we were squeezed info a corner by the door, at a table that was not normally used (It was free the first time we afsked for a table, but it was not offered to us). The door opened every 30 seconds (due to takeaway) and there were so little space that we could only slice the pizza by turning it around. Even worse was that the waiters did not appologize and just ignored the situation. The pizzas was okay - not spectacular! We will definitely not be back.

When “la pizza è bella” opened this was one of the best Neapolitan pizza places in Brussels and one of my favourite. I write this review because the last few times I ate there I was somehow disappointed and sad about several points which made me decide not to go anymore.
1) the pizza is not cooked enough: it’s burnt a bit on the underside but overall the Neapolitan crust which is indeed thicker but usually light and bread-like, is raw and chewy and results in a heavy pizza. Also the mushrooms were still raw.
2) I was surprised about the oil. Everywhere in Italy (but also Brussels) if one asks for oil (hot or regular) one is given a bottle of oil, while at “la pizza è bella” they serve single portion bags like maionese which gives it a very fast food feel
3) I asked for a Coke Zero and without any comment from the waiter I received a Pepsi. I told the waiter and he said “it’s the same “
I can deal with 2 and 3 though I think it’s not very professional, sustainable or authentic but for me personally a raw pizza is not ok for a place where the prices start at 15€ (except 2 or 3).

I ordered a pizza margherita, the pizza was so watery...... When I asked the waiter why the pizza was like that he replied with ''Because of the fresh mozzarella'' worst excuse ever. A normal pizza should not be watery at all! It was definitely not worth to pay for a overprized bad margherita pizza. And there was way too much cheese on the pizza. It was more like cheese with pizza instead of pizza with cheese on it.

I’m an American Expat who has lived in Belgium for 3 years and I speak decent French. Since the pandemic has halted our summer travel plans to Italy, I was very excited to take my wife and kids here due to the restaurants recent fame as being named in the top 20 Pizzerias in Europe. They are open for lunch between 12 and 1430. We arrived at 1330 and before I even had the opportunity to ask for a table, the serveur shunned us away “no, no, no table”. When we asked if we could place an order for take away we were met with the same answer “non, non, non, and turned away”. The reason the staff cited was the kitchen was closing (even though they still had another hour left in their service window). I’m not upset that a table wasn’t available, we should have made a reservation. I’m not upset about being turned away if we truly ordered too late. WHAT I AM UPSET ABOUT is that the man standing behind us in line was able to be seated and his order taken, right after we were turned away. Seriously? To me, it seemed as if the staff member took one look at my family and said “oh they are American, and assumed that we didn’t speak French, and decided to refuse service and send us away”. Then they had the nerve to seat and serve the person behind us. What is the purpose of having the best pizza in Europe if you have horrible customer service? Americans and tourists, I highly suggest you make your reservations if you would like to dine here. Do not assume that they will be willing to help you or allow you to order food to go (despite what their website says). Or you can always place an order through a delivery service such as Deliveroo.

Da napoletano! Pizza tremenda! Mozzarella praticamente cruda, impasto salato e mal lievitato. Dubito che a Napoli i gestori servirebbero una pizza simile. Assolutamente sconsigliato!!
From a neapolitan! Awful pizza! Mozzarella was completely raw, the dough was salty and not raised properly! The pizza was waterly. I doubt that in Naples the owners would serve a pizza like this. Avoid absolutely!

I booked a table for my daughter's birthday, so she went to the restaurant with her friends, but they were sent away only after an hour they had sat.
If I had known in advance, I would have chosen another restaurant!!!!!!
So maybe you have to share this information with customers, sometimes people need to organize something better than just eating and running away with the food still in their throat.
Just a simple piece of advice to improve your service.

Searching for somewhere to eat, before the midnight deadline when all restaurants had to close by government edict, I found La Pizza è Bella. I had not booked, but they helpfully let me have a table so long as I was able to leave before 8.30, when it was reserved. No problem, it gave me nearly two hours!
The place was clearly very popular, and it felt very Italian. The pizza was excellent, as was the side salad. The house wine was so good that I had a second glass!
My table was by the door, and people didn't bother to close it as they went in and out. The restaurant evidently has a busy delivery side to its business, and the delivery cyclists seemed particularly guilty of ignoring the non-closing door. The staff were clearly aware of this problem, and kept coming to close the door behind these thoughtless people, but it did make my visit a bit uncomfortable, as it was a cold evening.
I recommend La Pizza è Bella, but try to avoid sitting by the door!

Pizza is not so bad, a bit chewy but good flavor.
I think all the rest could be improved though.
The hospitality first of all!
The place was busy and we’ve been not very well welcomed by an awesome guy. He offered us a seat on condition to leave quickly since they had other reservations in the next hours. We decided to accept because we were very hungry and the reviews for this pizzeria were positive. Unfortunately the time to make two margherita took about 45 minutes so when we’ve finally got our pizzas we felt in hurry and with not enough time to eat properly as they made us pressure. It wasn’t a good feeling to have all the waitresses constantly observing or presenting at the table.
Furthermore the location is quite small and splitted in two different rooms completely separated between them, so many time waitresses went in/out from a side to the other one and the cold was really annoying at my back.
Expensive for my experience.

I'm from Naples and when I first ate at La Pizza e' Bella I was ecstatic: I thought it was the closest you can get to the real Neapolitan pizza!
yet, over the past two years the place had turned into a constant disappointment: service is very unpersonal/cold while the quality has gone materially down to the point I'm not prepared to eat there any time soon.
Apart from the rising prices, the size of the pizzas has become smaller, the topping quite scarce, the bottom regularly overcooked/burnt (not exactly healthy!) and the pizza dough has become chewy and very hard to digest. Last time it took me (and my 8 years old daughter) a full day to digest a simple margherita...clearly the ingredients used are quite poor.
Pity though, but this place is no longer worth my money/time.

Products used are good, particularly so the cooked ham and the sausage, but the pizza was a tad chewy. The napolitan assorted starters were OK, just that. And they are not particularly cheap... Not bad, but one can find better in Bxl.

I went there with great expectations due to the many good reviews, as they only have pizzas and I am more of a fan of Italian pasta dishes. The pizzas were indeed tasty, but on the (very) pricey side. On the pizza, I estimate with a diameter of about 25 cm. sits around a thick dough crust of about 4 cm. wide. So paying 24 or 26 euros for a pizza of which about 60% is not topped is far too expensive. They weren't really served warm either.
And a big problem in most restaurants: the serving temperature of red wine. Cost at a restaurant is also a minimum of around 40/45 euros for a decent bottle. Serving should be at approximately 14 to 16° for young, fruity wines to 16 to 18° for firm, more tannic wines. Here they are in a rack against the wall, at room temperature of 21 or 22°C, and were therefore served much too warm here. An ice bucket was really necessary.

Excellent pizza but I hate the rest. Half of the appetizers on the menu were missing, they only had one type of beer and after two bottles it was finished. The service was very poor, we had to order everything twice, they forgot what we asked for but they brought us a dish we hadn't requested. To conclude on a high note, at the end the restaurant was invaded by a terrible burning smell.
