As always we love our food at that beautiful place which is decorated like a Maharaja Palace. I feel like in an Indian fairy tale there whilst enjoying the good service and the tasty, flavoursome food. They use very good quality and portions are plentiful.

I had a lovely souvenir of eating in the garden there years ago... due to rain we ate inside this time and while the decoration is fun, we felt it was not so clean. The waiters are quite distant and did not generate a warm...welcome - no smile at all. On top, the poppodums were stale... the dishes came in - it was okayish but disappointing still. Rice was nice. We left without being even asked if we wanted a coffee or dessert, quite unusual - and no good bye. Oh well, we won’t miss coming back and will look for another spot for Indian food.More

We visited this restaurant during a Sunday lunchtime. It wasn’t particularly busy but the service was super slow and cold. Food was food, not authentic but looking at previous reviews, the sauces for each meal were distinctive. Be careful to order your dessert in good...time as we were declined after second request due to strict kitchen schedule, would’ve been better had we been informed when we asked for the dessert menu! Worth a visit if sniffy service doesn’t bother you.More

Great indian place in the heart of Watermael-boitsfort feels like the food we had in Mumbai. The service was excellent and especially Iqbal who was very nice and kind with us!

This is one of the very few Indian Restaurants in Brussels that aspires to cater to families and couples. The location is great, the service is good but the food is ok. They should put in more effort into their nans and rotis. The menu...is relatively expensive. The food is tasty albeit, grease and cholesterol are in ample supply. There is little differentiation between the sauces used to cook different dishes. The vegetarian peas and potatoes were good (mattar alloo).More

I stayed in the hotel above the restaurant (run by the same owners). The restaurant has an extensive menu and the portion size is immense. I ordered a biryani and a garlic naan, which would easily have been enough for two people.

The food at Rives des Gangess is among the best Indian/Pakistani food I have found in Brussels. But the service is erratic and often slow, making it a risky destination for lunch, except when the buffet is being served. Prices are reasonable, but watch out...for surprise excessive charges, such as eur 8 for a bottle of water or eur 7 for rice (which I would normally expect to be included in a main course order).More

Went in there once with two other people. The service was good. Went in there by myself and the service was appalling. It was obvious from the miserable owner (seems to be a family with two brothers running the place) that he could not care...less because there wasn't much profit to be made from a solitary diner. As a result I will never go back. Pity for them as I like Indian, but there are better places where I feel welcome. The food is not great.More

We had their menu which includes: an assortment of starters and an assortment of main dishes (curry fish, chicken tikka, lamb, vegetables) accompanied by rice and nan + dessert + half liter of average wine per person. The menu is Eur 37 per person (a...bit expensive for Brussels standards - you can do better for this amount). After trying all these options we would recommend you order the chickens: tikka and tandoori, nan and rice as sides. The curry was also good. The place is fine as well.More
