This is definitely a place for all those who suffer from not living near the sea. Near to the legendary vismarkt where you find excellent, but expensive restaurants (and unfortunately no market anymore) this is the proletarian answer. You have to stand there outside on the pavement, squeezed into many others (mostly local people) drinking white wine or a cold... More

Best place to eat fresh fish with a nice glass of white wine in Brussels. Especially pleasant when there is nice weather (arguably not very often). The service is always very friendly and efficient, and it creates a nice atmosphere at Place Saint Catherine.

This is a must experience while in Brussels: excellent seafood, nice vibe, eat while standing around their counter and most importantly listen to the staff yelling out your name when your order is ready. Trust me everyone in the square will know your name!

They raised the price of the schrimp croquettes from 8 to 12 euros in less than 2 years. That's really too much, but people go anyway, a waiter even told me he agrees with me that the prices are too high now... But no one's complaining then... And a lot of customers are tourists so they wouldn't know! They are... More

I love their food! People are so nice at the shop. It's a different experience to stand and eat! Love it! Must go if you go to Brussels!

This is the best place to get seafood in central Brussels. They also have an oyster bar with hand-picked wine selections to go with your food. Highly recommended.

Very tasty food, from fresh produce. Restaurant quality at a take-away place. It can look a bit messy to order as it's always crowded with people leaving their order, but the staff is well trained.

Been to Nordzee on several occassions in the past 8 years and it is always nice to go there. Nice vibe and great food on a nice square. Can get a bit too busy nowadays compared to 5-8 years ago so I go less but nonetheless a great place. Fresh seafood and decent wine.

High tables in the street, loud voices asking for orders and people calling out your name to go and collect your order! what a beautiful experience. We went for lunch on a Saturday and it was packed!!! all kinds of fried seafood. I highly recommend the friend sardines, fish croquette and shrimp with herbs. You can also your wine by... More

Great informal fresh seafood eatery. Terrific ambience eating out in the square with several small plate orders and a few glasses of wine. We were served by an English guy who walked us through our options with amazing patience, all the while being able to converse with other customers in French and German. A wonderful experience all round.
