Great bread, tea, coffee, homemade chocolate. Family owned. Also sells its produce. A regular favourite. The area is interesting. Close to Matonge and Boniface. To be recommended

The place is small and cosy, they have extensive selection of teas from which everyone would find their favourite. We tried to get there few times previously, but it was always full, which is indeed good sign of quality. The coffees and teas are nicely accompanied with a little Belgian chocolate praline. Definitely good place to stop by if you... More

Hidden gem in a down beat part of the city. Really worth going there! Great tea selection, superb hot chocolate. Very nice lunches and cakes. Chocolate selection looks good too!

Maison Renardy 1912 is a delightful café/tea shop. Selling coffee, specialist teas, pâtisseries, bread, chocolates and jams/conserves/honeys. I had a great breakfast and just enjoyed the calm atmosphere and seeing the world go by before heading in to EC meetings. I felt very welcome and service was friendly and done with classic charm.

Loved Tanzanian coco hot chocolate. It is bitter but sweet. The tea room is very confortable and cakes and hot chocolate, chocolates are great. Good place to relax in the afternoon.

The food is wonderful, from breakfast with croissants and list russe to luck with the tortes and side salads to the chocolates. Very friendly staff (a special thanks to the lady who stay a bit longer so that we could have a late lunch!) and quiet environment if you just want to work on your laptop or read while sipping... This little coffee shop/tea room is truly, as others have written, a peaceful corner in the middle of Matongé. A very relaxing atmosphere, nice decorations and concept as a whole. I had breakfast here, both take away (a latte and pain au chocolate for 3.10€) and sit it (same options, about 4.20€), and I have been really satisfied! There are... More

This place is perfect for a cosy chat or a tete a tete. Good service, a bit pricey. A cup of tea will cost you eur3,5 and a delicious piece of chocolate 0,75. It is well worth it. You can also make larger purchases of tea or chocolates. You may also grab lunch. I plan on going back!

This is an absolutely amazing find. Lovely selection of home made jams, chocolates, breads and cakes as well as a huge selection of teas and coffees. I was here for breakfast, which was simple (fresh breads, croissant, cheese, selection of home made jams, tea and chocolate. Great service.
