How is Cafe La Pompe rated?

I went there on a Sunny Sunday. Despite being next to the main road it was not noisy. Ambience was cool and relax. Menu is rather basic but good. I had English Breakfast brunch. Was tasty but sausages and baked beans were rather dry. I...took home made Ice Tea and was very good. Overall a good place to go for an unformal brunch with friends/familyMore

hot dogs and wine

ordered a big bottle of wine, a couple hot dogs, the wine was great and the food was so good! They also have outside seating for those rare sunny days

Best scrambled eggs in Brussels

We visited La Pompe for breakfast because it was near our AirBB - I’m so pleased we did. The coffee was great, the eggs and bacon were ‘perfectly done” and the service on both mornings was excellent! We will try lunch during one of our...remaining days.More

Favorite place!

This cafe is one of my ALL TIME favorite places to go. The terrace is big and sunny, and the new chairs looks great! The menu has drinks ,coffee, small bites, breakfast, lunch, dinner...everything. I've gone several times for brunch and it always turns out...great! Highly recommend this cafe for studying, meeting up for drinks, coffee, or a meal. I especially enjoy the live music on the weekends. Great place!!! :)More

nice atmosphere

Small laid-back and relaxed bar in St-Gilles, a nice neighbourhood in Brussels. They have a large choice of beers and other drinks. During summertime, the terrace is very popular.

Nice place for a drink.

Good location, nice setting, friendly staff, and a lot of drinks. The food (hotdog) was also OK. You do not need anything else if the weather is fine.

Good beer of the month

Tried it for dinner - unless your French is good it's hard to work out what's available from the menu and the various boards. However, had a nice meal, lovely beer of the month.

Simple money waster for pseudo laid back people

This is a forgetable place for "bobos" (ecologists hiding their Porsches in their garages/left wing ideas with a right wing wallet).
