Really good mussels and bustiling atmosphere. Bit expensive but so is everything in Brussels so I don't think it's unreasonable.

Good food in a very popular restaurant. At the first time we thought it was like eating in a bathroom with all those white tiles on the wall, but since that it just adds to the atmosphere. Especially mussles and sea food are to be recommended. The prices are quite reasonable. I heartily recommend the restaurant.

The first time I've left a restaurant, once seated and even with the cups full of wine. We were three and we ordered 2 main dishes, 1 entree and wine, but they said that it had to be 1 dish per person. We argued that we were not that hungry and that we didn't want to order food we were... More

Relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, wonderful food at affordable prices. The best mulles I've ever had in life. I highly recommend this restaurant as a place to eat real food Belgian with quality. There is not a tourist place and on weekends the restaurant is filled with locals.

This is our usual destination when in Brussels. You'll have to wait but the moules (mariniere and ail are the best) are worthwhile. Frites are average - go to Maison Antoine instead for them - but that's not the reason why going to Pre Sale. The atmosphere is really nice. Perfect with a good Leffe.

The food was fresh and tasty but nothing special. The place is not so great for a couple because not intimate at all and a bit cold / austere. Service is a bit expeditive and not particularly friendly. We found the restaurant ok, but clearly overrated.

I went to the Pré Salé after reading the reviews. I was a bit desappointed. The location was not great. the street was with ongoing works, so not very nice to show to my colleagues who came from the US for the mussels. The starter was very basic, Tomatoes and shrimps. I could ahve done it myself at home. I... More

We went to this restaurant twice while staying in Brussels. It was highly recommended in the rough guide as the best restaurant around for mussels. As huge mussel lovers we had to try it out. We made a reservation and luckily we did as it was very busy and all the tables had reserved on them. The mussels lived up... More

The fish we had was incredible. Rare to find in Brussels. A bit too loud and busy for me, but the interior is nice. Service very basic, old brussels style.

We had the moules ( great, big, juicy) and the horse steak (for the first time, tender and very tasty). The interior design is quite unique, but I liked it. The service is fast, they also speak English well and seem to be a family run business. The toilets were clean. The other customers seem to be locals, especially older... More
