We have followed the advice of our B&B owners but still did wa research .However Italian we may be inall areas. Food is then priority and this was all expectations about . Very disappointed. We definitely prefer quality over quantity but the portions we were served were petty. No more dessert taken because we waited 2 hours for our main course and we slowly had enough. Paid a lot for no special culinary experience. Too bad ... but this was the last time.

We ate here with a couple of friends on a short break in Mechelen. The owners were very friendly and spoke good English, and they have owned the restaurant for 39 years, a sign of a good one! It is perhaps a little out of the way but worth finding! The food is authentic and delicious, every mouthful is good! We had a lovely vegetable frittata ‘starter’ which was an extra, and then we all had veal.....mine was cooked with lemon and spinach, and was so tasty! Delicious and reasonably priced wine too. The quality of the food is really excellent, and is highly recommended!
