I recently visited a Moroccan restaurant in the heart of the city, and it was an absolute highlight! The central location makes it perfectly accessible and on entering you are immediately transported into a warm, authentic Moroccan ambience – from the decoration to the music everything is lovingly designed down to the last detail.
The food was just excellent! I would particularly like to highlight the lamb pot that was prepared to the point – tender meat with perfectly tasted spices that make every bite a treat. The other dishes are also authentic and of high quality.
The service completes the experience: The staff was very friendly, attentive and made us feel completely comfortable. Overall, a real experience for those who love Moroccan cuisine – highly recommended!

Just got back to my hotel after a wonderful dinner, I wanted to thank Said and the team for being such amazing hosts.
I have a limited / no carb diet at the moment, always hard when travelling. I explained that I was looking for some a near carb free meal.
Said asked in particular what I would like and the chef put together an amazing dish of fresh fish and grilled vegetables.
Trying to find a no chip, no potato dinner in Belgium can be challenging. The team at Ronda really went out of their way tonight.

Super delicious food (we had vegetarian, salad with scampi, Moroccan grilled food) and the service was exceptional!!! Attentive, a smile on the face - here you are still a real guest and feel at home.

After a big disappointment in another restaurant, we took a tour of the restaurants in the area to compare and choose the best. We wanted a traditional Flemish meal but eventually we turned to Ronda because the dishes on the board displayed outside were meat/fish with a starch and vegetables. The names were simple but direct and we were not disappointed! We were even surprised by the atmosphere, the welcome, the friendliness of the waiters and the quality of the dishes.
The dishes are well stocked and of good quality, the vegetables in our dishes were fresh vegetables and the desserts excellent!
A good experience with a reasonable invoice.

20’ to order food after being asked to move table as “we are expecting big tables”. 40’ to get a beer (the Carolus triple beer was good). The wrong starter arrives after 30’. Another 20’ so get shrimps Ronda (4 small shrimps in a tasteless sauce). 90’ after ordering what is supposed to be royal couscous arrives. What a joke! This is served with spicy pizza oil (no harissa). The merguez is a pale tasteless (most likely industrial chicken) sausage. No Moroccan cuisine flavours whatsoever. Admittedly, we had a reservation, it was busy, but it was more than worth the wait! Couscous royale we ate, rarely eaten this dish so tasty, those herbs, the vegetables, how the meat came so tender from the bone. Delicious! So clearly made with love! The staff walked all over themselves, and ok, we had to remind them our wine order, it's no big deal, they try so hard and are so sweet and charming! Top case! Chapeau! We will definitely be back! Over 1hour waiting for basic food. Nice location, outside at the terrace, quick to serve the drinks but extremely slow fir the goud. We ordered tagine, couscous and grillades (1small sauvage, 1 small merguez, 1 small piece of chicken, 1 small lamb leg, 4 small potatoes) served with salad. Quite expensive thought. If you're hungry, avoid going there.

There are still certainties: a good lunch for a competitive price! For me, Ronda is worth a frequent visit. I was never disappointed. Moreover, there is a cozy terrace in one of the nicest places in Mechelen. A dish of the day with baby lot, a lamb skewer with Mediterranean vegetables or a tagine with rabbit and quince. Super! The restaurant is in the famous Vismarkt. We stopped for a drink on the terrace yesterday evening and liked the look of the menu so decided to stay for dinner. Luckily the resto had a free table inside as it was getting a bit chilly.
The menu is traditional Morrocan, although with some good vegetarian options (the veggie couscous looked amazing). We had a fish and seafood tagine, which was absolutely amazing, and a beef skewer which arrived lukewarm (it was kindly reheated), but the meat was very gristly and disappointing.
Service was friendly and reasonably quick, although it was very busy (early Sunday evening). Ambience was lovely and prices were reasonable. Would definitely come back (but not order the beef skewer again).

This small place is very busy, with customers from all generations and as a single woman I felt fine, ´lost in the crowd’. I had a chicken tajine on the 1st floor space. The food was hot, fresh and just what I needed. The red house wine was absolutely horrible - which was good as well, as it limited my alcool intake to zero.
