Great little Mexican place. You cannot reserve a table, you have to pay cash and space is limited but it's so worth it. Good, hearty Mexican food in a laid back and casual atmosphere.

Oldish simply Mexican style wooden chair restaurant-cantina. The waiting for the food is long, but the food is fresh. The place is small as the kitchen is. Socialist style of concept and serving. You don't have to be here if you don't take it the way it is. The bargain is the drinks you order while waiting ... The food... More

You cannot book here so get early or be disappointed. I love the food here and the cocktails are amazing but a little pricey!

So overall the food is average, something you can't really complain about. BUT if you had a below average kind of day--please don't go there- because the service is something you might not tolerate. 1- they wouldn't let us order all the dishes we want (although we were a group of 6). Old lady and the old man kept arguing... More

I had always wanted to check out the Gringo's Cantina, and was very excited when my friend invited me to go to dinner. The service was beyond appauling. There were three of us (two being very built men) and after our third plate of guacamole and tortilla chips the waitress bluntly refused to let us order another one. telling us... More

Once again service in Antwerp restaurants shines by its absence. The waitress was more interested in being chummy with her friends at the bar than actually working. Food is pretty poor and shows little resemblance to proper mexican fair. Overpriced and overrated. I can only assume that any 4/5 rating is from people who don't know what a real restaurant... More

Gringo's is still a special restaurant in Antwerp. If you're looking for real cheap but OK mexican food this the place to be. The restaurant itself is rather small and doesn't accept any reservations. You have the most chance to find free seating early when the restaurant opens. When you arrive later and you decide to wait you can get... More

Gringo's is colorful and cosy, with great mexican like atmosphere and the food is always excellent. They do not accept reservations but just have their great coctails at the bar until there is a free spot.

What a terrible experience... I visited this Place Sunday afternoon in the summer, (the day of the Antwerp Iron Man) upon arriving i was greetied by a barrage of requests relating where and how i should fasten my bike up by what looked like two local drunks....anyway...I was sat in the window and the sun was up and the place... We walked therefrom our hotel, it was very close. The restaurant itself is really small, but decorated lovely. It has a great atmosphere, a motif students and people from different nationalities, it was very lively. Service was very friendly and helpful, the waitress spoke great English and explained the different dishes to us. The food was lovely, tasty, healthy, great... More
