We enjoyed every bite of our meals, both the combined platter with meat and the vegetarian one left nothing to be desired. The Ethiopian dessert was a baked pineapple slice in chocolate sauce. Beer was OK but you may as well have a Belgian beer...instead. Staff was friendly and service was fast enough. You also get a small information guide on Ethiopian food to help you understand what you're about to eat. Highly recommend this restaurant!More
Warm and friendly athmosphere in this small restaurant hidden from the main routes. We stranded there thanks to a vivabox voucher. Looks like traditional, athough I'm not an ethiopian expert. We got the common fish plate: vegetables on the side, fish in a bowl in...the middle. Nothing extraordinary - but still tasty. The crêpes are ok. I admit, we accepted the spoon that the tenant offred. 🤫 Wine and drinks are pricy. Nothing extraordinary either for the dessert. Clearly not their speciality.More
We went - by appointment - on a day on which there was a special meal. This is served on a large plate, eaten with fingers and shared. It's a nice idea but I had a cold so did not wish to spread germs so...used a spoon! The food is interesting with peas, lentils and the like served with a "strange" rubbery pancake/bread which [though tasty] rather resembled an uncooked crumpet Friendly service and I would try again when there is more choice as to what to eat.More
Well tucked away in a quiet part of town this restaurant is a real surprise. Go for the injeera platter shared by two and dig in with your fingers. The food was yummy, some parts surprising (spicy!) And abundant. Plus the restaurant has a relaxed...vibe. Great for vegetarians.More
Walking in to this restaurant we were met with a friendly warm welcome. We have never eaten Ethiplopian food before and we were given the greatest introduction. The food and drink was fabulous and the service couldn't have been better. Well worth a visit.
It was one of excellent restaurant so far, we have been served well and the food was amazing. I can't wait to go there again
This place deserves an excellence! The food is excellent, priced reasonable, staff are friendly, service is very good. Please make a reservation to avoid disappointment especially on weekend. Well worth it! Keep up the great 👍 restaurant.
The food was great, and the server was very friendly and explained to us how everything worked, seeing as we never ate Ethiopian before. I’d definitely recommend !!
First of, a fair warning: it can get noisy in here when they play music on the ground floor. It's a smaller restaurant so if you don't like this, ask for a seat upstairs or don't come when they are playing. It does add to...the atmosphere so I did enjoy it. It might have helped that we sat upstairs and didn't get the full brunt of the drums. The upstairs seating was not only quieter but also just different. It's a smaller space with low chairs. It's doable for like an hour but it's not for the extended dining experience. To eat it wasn't an issue though. The waitress was friendly and tried her best to serve everyone as fast as possible but with a full house (end of the year after all) and only two people for the entire restaurant (more wouldn't fit anyway), it was doable. The food served was very good. It was presented on a large plate with various ingredients presented two-fold for the two of us. It was an excellent amount for the price and given it included a drink and dessert I had no complaints whatsoever. I really recommend this place if you want something different for either a celebration or just to eat out.More
