I am Greek so whenever I have a visitor from abroad I take him/her there for the best stoofvlees in town. Big portions. Delicious salads too. Nice environment. Very good prices for Belgium!

We love this place because of the informal and nostalgic atmosphere, we have been here many times. Their stoofvlees is awesome!
If you are not familiar with typical old school coffee shops in Belgium and especially in the Flanders, this is a must..:) the building mmustmamumustOld school Antwerps caf
When looking for a genuine Flemish restaurant, go to this cosy place. Nice steamed meat with Belgian frites. Good stuffed ravioli, nice pasta. Good beer and tastefull wine. Good shrimp croquettes, nice dessert cakes, good coffee. Pleasant service. The only reason I am not awarding...a 5th star is the long time we had to wait for food. For the sake of good order: The restaurant/bar is worth visiting.More
It was a while ago, even since years, but we stopped at the entrepot for a quick diner in the early evening, they offer snacks, and brasserie food of a decent quality in what used to be a warehouse with high ceilings, that creates a...special atmosphere: lots of mirrors also enhance the atmos. when you go out here you're sure to meet some people you know once in a while. but the food: one chicken curry, one half roasted chicken and one flemish beef stew. a good meal in a nice place! in summer their terras is also full!More
We had to find a place to have a dinner relatively late during the week in Antwerp South (the neighborhood near the Art Museum). A lot of places were closed, or their kitchens were closed but this place was was open and it was still...possible to order. It was a good choice in the end: friendly service, efficient cook and great meal.More
I visited this place often in the past. Today I had one hour of spare time and decided to have a drink with my partner. I admit it was a rather hot day in the summer but I'm living in the south of Antwerp (not...a tourist) and I didn't expected a "rip off". OK, just one euro, but I can read the prices on the menu and it is obliged to give a tax receipt. I didn't want to argue with the so called waitress, but I hope the owner of this "brasserie" checks his cash desk every day.More
Friendly staff and manager (who answers his e-mails promptly), many choices, not expensive, portions large enough !
We stopped there for lunch after a visit to the museum of contemporary art that is quite close by. The place is very nice and characteristic, pretty busy but also very quiet. We enjoyed a simple but delicious lunch :)
This is a traditional cafe where you can also eat. So seating is hard wooden chairs or benches and wobbly tables. Service is ok... not very friendly but adequate. But when you see the waitress petting a dog just before she serves your food you...start wondering about hygiene... Lots of noise... Food was terrible. In the past (2 years ago) it was ok, but now... the stew was so dry and full of fat it was uneatable. The pieces on the bottom were even black... clear this was old food heated up at least twice... spaghetti was very flat taste, and the price was high for what you got... I wouldn t recommend eating here. Plenty of better places (same price range) nearby Just a nice bar to sit and have a drink, nothing more...More
